...Pre-pandemic, I also believed that the American people would never put up with such an obvious political power ploy as mandating mask-wearing outside in beaches and parks. If you’ve ever seen the poor indoctrinated souls driving in their cars alone wearing a mask (or two!) or bicycling with their masks on, then you know my prior belief was quickly put to bed....
Possibly the strongest belief I had going into last year and the one I was saddest to lose when I realized it simply wasn’t true anymore, was the belief that we were still a free country.
Biden’s teleprompter speech Thursday evening paraded his non-belief in the Constitution. While claiming to be a unity president, not only did he give President Trump and his team zero credit for getting the vaccine fast-tracked and the country supplied with at least 100 million doses, he, Emperor No-Clothes, pronounced that he has decided we might be able to get outside with our close family members for the 4th of July, only if we are good boys and girls.
If the new normal means the Democrats-in-charge will have the power to dictate the nature of small outdoor family gatherings two full months after his goal of getting every willing person vaccinated, then Biden doesn’t understand the meaning of Independence Day.

I think I would rather wait a week and celebrate Bastille Day, if you know what I mean.
I suspect the holiday will transition to August 4th, the birthday of Grand Caliph Baraq...
I didn’t watch Joe’s little speech, but I think he gave us permission, this year, to celebrate our freedom. As long as we follow a long list of rules and regulations. Anyone found to be celebrating their freedom in a non-government approved manner will be severely punished.
I am... Thats all that matters...
I gave a bit of a pass to people in cars. It is possible they came out of the store and forgot to take it off. I do see a lot of maskless people out walking.
Then either you weren't paying attention when smoking was banned in public outdoor areas, or you were ok with it because it was somebody else's freedom being trampled.
Bastille Day. The communist revolution in France before Marx wrote his own books on the subject.
Free as in free to shut up and do what democrats say.
As opposed to shut up and do what Republicans say, which is not much different.
No.
Yesterday we came home from shopping around 5 in the afternoon, and found two St. Patrick’s day parties going on outside on my block, on either side of the street. Dozens of maskless young people, and I doubt they got permission from Fauci or Biden.
The ‘election infection’ served its purpose and now remains the extinguishment of the fraud in a manner that most sheep don’t realize extent of the Hoax perpetuated on the gullible. I have the disbelief that this country is so populated with Idiots.
No.
Next question?
I always say that America was a better place when people could smoke anywhere they wanted to. That’s not a comment about tobacco. It’s a comment on personal freedom. We lost a lot and didn’t even know it. People just thought the ban was a fine thing. Looking back, you can see the path we were on.
We are independent. We are not a British colony anymore. So Independence Day still has meaning.
However, we have lost our freedom, not to a foreign power but to an evil cabal of politicians.
It’s trauma based mind control.
We are all communists now. We may as well scare the rich leftist elites by, you fill in the blank, to them, and proclaiming them not to be communist enough.
Freedom is a relative term.
Even 40-60 years ago, One could argue that America was not completely free.
The real question to ask is “Does our federal government operate under consent of the governed?”
The answer to that question at this point is clearly NO.
It may have been that way for a long time, but never more clear than now.
The actual loss of our freedom will take place over time, only to be accelerated by national crisis... of which our now socialist/communist leaders will exploit at every opportunity.
Maintaining the illusion of our freedom is of course one of their greatest priorities. Control of our media outlets including Internet platforms is key to that end.
Maybe it would be better to ask “are we more free than North Koreans? or Russians? or the Chinese people?”...
The answer to that question is obvious for now.
But for how long? we do not know.
I do know this though... true freedom can only be possessed as a believer and follower of Jesus Christ Himself.
"..According to best estimates—and estimates are all we have—there are about 4,500 federal crimes in the United States Code, and more than 300,000 federal crimes dispersed throughout federal regulations.Jun 24, 2020.."
I guess that "preserving the Union" thingy didn't work out too well.
As long as you are alive and have your guns you are free (if you want to be)
