In his first act, it appears Pence submitted to Pelosi's direction to remove Representatives and Senators from the floor, where they might participate, to the gallery, where they cannot.
The process enabled is thus is being conducted without a quorum present... and with the majority of Representatives and Senators denied the ability to participate. They are not present, because they have been excluded from any ability even to raise procedural issues.
Scripted for purpose, certainly... but outside the law and the Constitution, denying participation, silencing the voices not just of the Representatives, but of those they represent.
Whatever result they deliver under this structure, it will not be valid.

When dealing with a person who was known to be shady you always knew that person would do something shady so you could prepare and counter act.
I always regarded Pence as someone who fit the first category.
He should have booted Barr and Wray long ago. Named Powell as special counsel even any time in the past month or so. Invoked the EO he signed in 2018 based on the foreign interference in the election theft.
He apparently was compromised and made his deals over four years ago, so maybe we shouldn’t have been surprised how he has gone along with the Gates/Fauci/mRNA “Operation Warp Speed”, etc. But it is probably far too soon for most Freepers to hear this.

Pence, as VP of the Senate, conducts the process under the rules of the Senate. He violated the rules of the Senate.
There is no quorum present in the joint session, under the Senate’s rules.
By DELIBERATELY acting the House rules, Pence KNOWINGLY violated the Constitution.
The counsel appointment would have been overruled by a court.
There’s a limited pool of people who he can appoint unilaterally on a temporary basis to the AG and FBI director jobs.

The relevant impact... so you know:
I will not accept the outcome. This is illegitimate... exactly in keeping with the illegitimacy of the fraud practiced in the states.
It’s fraud... making anything they do... illegal.
People in the military know, well enough, that there is an obligation to not follow illegal orders.
This act, makes everything the U.S. government does... an illegal order.
The vote held is one with two results, having nothing to do with with who the President will be: we are ruled by law, or we are not. The laws matter, or they do not.
Many will take this to mean... the obligation to follow the law is now removed.
Legitimacy matters.
In hindsight,this all falls on POTUS Trump who has picked the absolute worst people from VP,AG,etc on down to advise and stand by him as he is all alone dealing with the government as a whole. Even his allegedly “conservative” Supreme Court and Federal Judges absolutely seem to suck. We are watching the country evaporate.

Dershowitz is saying the GOP won’t win, and is dismissive of their efforts. Like he’s patting them on the head and saying, “Isn’t that cute?” Not positive for our side.
