Which is more politically advantageous for the election just six weeks from now? Ramming the nominee through before November 3 or having it hanging out there and confirming sometime between Election Day and Inauguration Day?
If the Democrats go after the nominee the way they did after Kavanaugh, it will hurt them at the polls -- bigly. But which is better for Republicans?
well, considering the Trump Train has no brakes, Deplorables say, load the coal and full steam ahead. We’re here to win, not take a knee.
If we really want to throw the Dems into a tizzy, the ideal nominee is a Hialeah, FL native. The Cubanos will go happycrazy because it’s an incredible acknowledgement of their close relationship with the US pre-Castro and their unique position as exiles in America. And, a thumb in the eye of the current cuban regime which will also make points with their family ‘back home’ that could open larger doors. The judicial committee will have to tread on eggshells being this candidate is Cubano, a woman, and, most important, already vetted. Being of Cubano (european) stock, Lagoa’s proved she’s tough as nails and will have no problem trounching any shenanigans fellow-slave-economy-islander Kamala or Schumer or BLM Inc. might try.
Actually, Republicans picked up a net of two seats in the Senate in 2018. Democrats took Republican seats in Arizona and Nevada and Republicans took Democrat seats in Indiana, Florida, Missouri and North Dakota.
Hillary Clinton carried Nevada in 2016, so the incumbent Republican Senator in Nevada was probably living on borrowed time. In Arizona, the incumbent Flake the Flaky didn't run again. The Republican candidate, Martha McSally, was ahead until the Democrats' harvested votes came in the day after the election.
Republicans stomped the Democrat incumbents in North Dakota, Indiana and Missouri. Those turnovers can probably be tied, at least in part, on blowback from the Democrats' slime attack on Kavanaugh.
I dont know.
My opinion of pushing it is it is pointless, because Dems will stall it no matter what.
“Theres plenty of time to hold hearings....”
Or NOT!
RAM IT THROUGH! No hearings, just VOTE!
Let the demonrats bully you and the voters start wondering why should they vote for you.
Their craziness with Kavanaugh, and their evident viciousness, showed they don’t care about people and hurt them at the polls. Many people believe it cost them their chance to take the Senate.
If the nomination is in process as we go to the polls and the Dhimmicraps are acting like petulant children again, as they did with Kavanaugh, the hissy fit could be very damaging to the Dhimmicraps.
They will. And they'll do it in the most hurtful way possible. Which will be very helpful politically.
Agree. Get it done. Now.
Must be done before election.
As I explained, and you even quoted, we only had to defend 9 seats in 2018, the dems had 26. Even with those few seats, we lost 2 of them. The dems flipped 22% of the seats we had up. We only flipped 4 of the 26 seats they had up, or 15%, and all 4 were in states Trump won. All considered, we did not do well in the Senate. This year, we are the ones defending the most seats.
Plenty of time for the Dems/Liberals/Commies to riot and make fools of themselves.
See post 31, is that fast enough for you?
needs to be at least that fast
we have states jacking with the election
Forget the democRATS. They'll make fools of themselves no matter what happens or whoever wins the election.
This is not a game. This is the real deal.
That sounds like he's wobbling to me.
Any political party that sanctions innocent bloodshed is demonstrably interested in power as opposed to service.
Getting a conservative replacement of Ginsberg is as important as the election - let’s git ‘er dun.
