Among the multitude of indisputable facts about Democrats: Every time a mass shooting occurs, they blame the NRA and law-abiding gun owners. And every time a hurricane, major flood, tornado, dry period, wet period, or wildfire occurs, they blame climate change.
Such was the case with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on Thursday, as she cited Mother Earth being angry as the cause for Western wildfires currently ravaging California, Oregon, and Washington.
During an appearance on MSNBC, Pelosi said:
We have these fires in California and in the West. Sixteen people have died in Washington, Oregon and California, including a firefighter and 1-year-old baby. Our firefighters have been so very, very courageous.
Now were again breaking records. Mother Earth is angry; she telling us. Whether shes telling us hurricanes on the Gulf coast, fires in the West, whatever it is, that climate crisis is real and has an impact.
I came over the weekend back to Washington it was unhealthy and smoky; that was how they described the air then. Now it has gotten much worse, and Im hearing regularly, on the ongoing [sic] from my constituents about the concern they have about the fires and the air quality; the loss of life and over 3 million acres burned.
That is a historic number.
Whatever it is, its proof that the climate crisis is real, explained the world renowned expert on all things climate and weather related.
Hang on, a minute.
Not to pour water on Pelosis distinguished analysis of the cause of hurricanes in the Gulf, or wildfires in the West, but she admitted she doesnt even know what it is. Nonetheless, the queen of wealth redistribution is certain it is caused by climate change er the Lefts new buzzphrase, climate crisis.
Thusly, there is no other explanation for recent hurricanes, and ongoing wildfires. What kind of climate science is that? I dont know what it is, yup, yup, but the climate crisis is to blame.
And these people wonder why the sane among us ridicule them.
Perhaps, just perhaps, there are other potential causes for recent continuing wildfires and recent weather occurrences to consider.
As reported by ABC News, one of the last weekends destructive wild fires was caused by a gender reveal party photo shoot gone bad.
And as reported by The New York Times on Friday:
Many others are caused by more mundane human actions, like driving a car that sends soot into dry vegetation, as was the case with the Apple Fire in Southern California this year.
Still others have been caused by power transmission lines or other utility equipment, which may spark and ignite fires in remote areas. Pacific Gas and Electric equipment caused the deadly Camp Fire in 2018.
In Oregon, The Statesman Journal reported that fires in the Santiam Canyon area were ignited when falling trees knocked down power lines.
In a RedState piece on Wednesday, titled Separating Fact From Fiction About Wildfires, H. Sterling Burnett, Ph.D, a research fellow on energy and the environment, wrote:
Due to much of the western United States being naturally arid, high mountain scrub desert, grassland, and dry forest, wildfires are an unfortunate fact of life. They always have been and likely always will be.
And despite what you may have heard, there is no evidence climate change is making the problem worse.
California, where much of the attention on wildfires has been focused in recent years, because it has a large population and major media outlets are located there, was one of the least populated (and lowest population density) regions of the country before European colonizers spread across the continent.
Research shows droughts in the region have on occasion lasted on the order of a hundred years. And there is evidence massive wildfires regularly swept through the region historically.
Indeed, a 2007 paper in the journal Forest Ecology and Management found prior to European colonization in the 1800s, more than 4.4 million acres of California forest and shrub-land burned annually, far more than the area of California that has burned since 2000, which ranges from 90,000 acres to 1,590,000 acres per year.
Burnett warned against falling victim to news coverage and false claims that climate is to blame for wildfires.
Although one wouldnt know it from the news coverage and alarming, but false, claims that climate change is making wildfires more frequent and severe, the opposite is true.
A 2012 study published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences found wildfires in the western United States attained the lowest levels during the 20th century and during the Little Ice Age.
Burnett cited a growing population, along a growth in buildings and infrastructure as among the major contributors of wildfires. He concluded the piece with an admonition:
When it comes to wildfires, to co-opt the immortal words of naval officer Oliver Hazard Perry, we have met the enemy, and it is, not climate change, but us.
Did I mention that Burnett is a Ph.D. and research fellow on energy and the environment at The Heartland Institute, a nonpartisan, nonprofit research center headquartered in Arlington Heights, Illinois?
Big whoop. When it comes to all thing weather or natural disaster related, this poser aint got nothin on San Fran Nan. Just ask her; shell gleefully tell you all about it. Ad nauseam.
Besides, Nancy Pelosi has never seen a taxpayer dollar she hasnt tried to redistribute. You do know thats what this is all about, right?
Exactly how many deities does she worship?
San Fran Nan knows all. She’s like the wretched auntie of the Wizard of Oz, all smoke, mirrors and lies. Gaia worshiping freak
Well goodness I hope the wood nymphs dont start attacking.
Maybe we should call the shaman for a ritual or something.
Geez
I’m getting a little remodeling done and a guy was here measuring for a mirror just now. He said his father in law used to be a forester and they cleared brush from the forest regularly. I asked why they don’t do it any more and he said “the politicians”.
I told him I tweeted Obama responding to Obama’s tweet about how these fires are result of global warming and to vote accordingly and said “then why isn’t Martha’s Vineyard on fire?”
“...Exactly how many deities does she worship?...”
The godless, vile, demonic Botoxian worships one deity...its Big Daddy in hell.
The latest batch of fires are arsons, started by Antifa/BLM types..... One was caught in the act in Oregon setting a fire!
Some seem to be simultaneously started, like there was ‘collusion’ somewhere..............................
Bet Greta the Grump picks up that line....if she hasn’t already.
One fake Catholic parroting another fake Catholic (Pope Commie I).
Mother Earth? Come on, Nancy. This is the 21st century, not the 15th century.
Youre supposed to say Non-binary Person Earth now.
If "Mother Earth" is angry it is because she is pissed off at all the chemicals, and drugs, and face-lifts, and hair dye, and artificial makeup consumed by Nancy Pelosi. One spark and Pelosi herself will turn yet into another California wildfire.
After I read what Pelousy said, I had to see if this was the Babylon Bee...
This woman needs to retire and go gum, her premium ice cream, NOW.
Why what~evers in San Francisco act confused, 24/7!
Chief Heather Fong is the first SFPD female, lesbian chief of police.
Theresa Sparks, a former male, is president of the San Francisco Police Commission, and CEO of a multi-million dollar sex toy retailer, and a transgender woman.
Sgt. Stephan Thorne, a former female, is the first transgender male SFPD police officer.
Where else are you going to find an Asian lesbian police chief, one deputy chief who is a woman who was a man, another deputy chief who is a man who was a woman, and a police commissioner who was a man is now a woman and whose full-time job is running a dildo store?
Their Representative in Congress is Nancy Pelosi!
You cannot make this stuff up!!!
So, is the media saying “Without Evidence, Nancy Pelosi Claims...”
...why do I think that’s NOT the case?
Really great jab at the "Blown One."
Climate Crisis bookmark.
So mother nature heats up the place with fires?
