This past Saturday, President Trump touted a possible cure for Coronavirus (COVID-19) through a Tweet. It’s a combination of hydroxychloroquine and a commonly used antibiotic, azithromycin.
According to the CDC, “Hydroxychloroquine is used for treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus and porphyria cutanea tarda.” It has also been used successfully to fight malaria.
A recent well-controlled clinical study conducted by Didier Raoult M.D/Ph.D, et. al in France showed that 100% of patients that received a combination of HCQ and Azithromycin tested negative and were virologically cured within 6 days of treatment.
You read that correct.
This was a very small study, but nevertheless, quite promising. And in the face of a worldwide pandemic, it is something that should be studied closely, to say the least.
Right?
Well, that depends on who you are and what your goals are.
The Empire Strikes Back Many health experts, including White House Coronavirus Task Force member Dr. Anthony Fauci, have seemingly gone out of their way to throw cold water on President Trump’s excitement.
Why would that be?
I cannot look into the man’s heart, but I do know that the doctor is a huge fan of Hillary Clinton—no friend of our President. We tend to look at professionals such as doctors as if they are health angels who have drifted down from Heaven, rather than as human beings with their own set of biases like everyone else.
Ever since the President announced his excitement over a possible cure for Coronavirus, the media has predictably chosen to downplay the discovery, outright discourage people from listening to the President and to scare the public.
This scare story is making the rounds, that “a Phoenix-area man has died and his wife was in critical condition after the couple took chloroquine phosphate” (an additive used to clean fish tanks), but the media choose not to highlight the fact that this is NOT the hydroxychloroquine used to fight Coronavirus.
See a pattern here?
Yet a Florida man said that hearing about hydroxychloroquine saved his life!
Panic Mode Right now, the media is in a full-blown panic that the public is increasingly listening to President Trump. And why shouldn’t infected Americans seek a cure to this pandemic?
Hillary Clinton herself is mocking the President in an attempt to cause the public not to believe him regarding the potential cure.
Joe Biden is urging Americans not to listen to Trump, but instead to “listen to the scientist,” “listen to the doctors.”
All this sounds reasonable, right? I mean, shouldn’t we listen to the professionals?
The problem is the practicality that Americans and others worldwide are dying right now from Coronavirus. Going through the usual testing procedures could take months, and guess what? Lots of people would be DEAD by then!
Many health officials are choosing to ignore the potential hydroxychloroquine / azithromycin breakthrough and continue to tell us that “Coronavirus drugs, vaccine are many months away.”
This article, published at well-known USA Today, flatly states, “There’s no magic drug right now.” Oh, really?
FDA Approval! Vice President Mike Pence announced yesterday that the FDA has approved the use of hydroxychloroquine for “off label” use to help Coronavirus patients! He went on to say that the Trump administration is working with companies that produce vast amounts of chloroquine.
This is welcome news! As President Trump said, “What do you have to lose?” if you are dying from a disease. You’re not in a position to wait for the results of clinical trials!
We are Americans with the right to do what we can to survive!
This is really just an extension of the President’s “Right To Try” legislation, “which amends Federal law to allow certain unapproved, experimental drugs to be administered to terminally ill patients who have exhausted all approved treatment options and are unable to participate in clinical drug trials.”
During a news conference on Sunday, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced that the state has acquired 70,000 doses of hydroxychloroquine, 10,000 doses of the antibiotic zithromax and 750,000 doses of chloroquine, and clinical trials have begun!
Never Let a Crisis Go to Waste President Obama’s former Chief of Staff and ex-Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel once infamously said, “You never want a serious crisis go to waste. And what I mean by that is an opportunity to do things you think you could not do before.”
During this crisis, political moves such as attempting to block a Coronavirus relief bill for Americans have been attempted, and appear to have gone down in flames. Thank God for that.
Democrat leaders are dead-set against the President getting any “win,” and if that means fighting an economic package aimed at helping the American People survive economically, then so be it. Political realities, i.e. the hot anger of the American People—finally caused them to see the light.
Re-Opening the Economy by Easter? Yesterday, President Trump announced his desire that we re-open our economy by Easter (“Resurrection Day”). That would be really welcome news, right?
Well again, it depends on what your motives are.
Oh, looky this! Newsweek has just announced, “Over 70% of Americans Prefer a National Quarantine as Trump Eyes Lifting Restrictions by Easter.”
Amazing how fast they can turn out polls when they need them!
Does it make sense to quarantine the entire public for weeks or even months on end, in the name of supposedly stopping this virus? Can you imagine what this would do to our economy? Look what has happened already. The great American health care system used to fight the Coronavirus pandemic is only possible because of our great economy!
And the President’s enemies fully understand this. But they don’t care!
“Some Men Just Want to Watch the World Burn” Let that sink in for a moment. Many of the President’s enemies would rather see our economy crash, and masses of their fellow American citizens die, than to see the President succeed! Their actions are proving this to be the case.
So much for the facade that they “care,” and have more “love” than the President. The opposite is true.
One thing this crisis has shown us; is the depths that people are willing to sink in an attempt to achieve their ends. And I’m thankful to see that. The American People need to know who has their back, and who would stab them in the back.
I’ll put my own spin on “never let a crisis go to waste,” and say that this is one huge value of a crisis—providing clarity on the motives of mankind.
Our Choice President Trump has made his position clear—promising treatments and sound health practices have made it possible for us to climb out of the bunkers, roll up our sleeves, and re-start our great economy. I’m with him one hundred percent on this.
Americans value freedom, enterprise, and ingenuity. We are not cowards by nature. There will be risk to taking this step.
Some should be in quarantine and STAY in quarantine. This would be based on age and condition.
And some likely will die by not quarantining for a longer period. But if we quarantine too long, our economy—the engine of our progress and the hope for our continued strong health care system—will crater, and our hopes for a good life anytime soon will crater with it. And I for one am unwilling to let America go down due to inaction.
You will have to make your own choice. And after all, isn’t that your right and privilege as an American?

Consider, it has been 'rat governors and mayors leading the shutdown charge. This hurts the economy and was supposed to help make President Trump beatable. Yet the Presidents numbers held steady, even rose...
Obviously we need more fear. So reports started coming out that covid-19 "could" be spread by cash. Then it was this lockdown "might" last as long as 10-12 weeks. Then it was it "might" be a threat to 20-40 year olds...
These reports are all couched in the same weasel-words you see with global warming predictions. Might, could, potentially... Because no-one wants to be the next 11 year prediction. But they do obviously want to sow fear and hold the economy down. So sure, a potential cure, or something that significantly mitigates symptoms? Oh no, can't have that messing up their crisis...

ok- wondering if it can be used ‘at home’ if a state won’t issue the Hydroxy drug? (I know quinine is more risky- but my goodness- if solemn gets this virus bad, and a hospital won’t issue the Hydroxy drug- then the virus is a death sentence anyways (note- only if the person gets it ver5y badly)

Did a little digging on the Gov of Nevada. Seems there are pictures of his ex wife with bruises on her neck that she said he did when she filed for divorce. He is a rabid anti trump person and now is denying his people a life saving drug. Despicable. Part of the swamp.

Chloroquine, and many of its generic names, and Zythromax or Azythromax (antibiotic), for serious breakout CV-19 cases, are at the moment, are our best medical “therapeutics” for reducing and blunting this bio engineered stupidity.
That and super sanitizing everything, and strong UV light exposure.
Besides being briefly airborne like most viruses, this thing does survive lengths of time without a host, and is transferable onany surfaces including plastics, glass, and steel surfaces for approximately 72 hours. If refrigerated or frozen, as with other viruses, the lipids will allow much longer viral brevity.
i agree- it would be in my opinion, a last ditch effort- last resort- We do use it for leg cramps- only takes a very small amount for that- but still- a person can all of a sudden develop a ‘quinine allergy’ and end up with pretty severe symptoms apparently- Folks have been taking it with drinks for forever though- it’s ‘relatively safe’ in the smaller amounts for drinks, but still can cause reactions
tonic water only has around 80 mg, so pretty low- but yeah, caution needs to be taken with it

The governments control the uses of drugs in the US.
Those drugs have to be tested for efficacy.
There are well established, non-reactive processes in place to prove efficacy to the standards. It’s not unlike the vaccine process.
The tests that are being written about sound effective. But they are, to use the technical term, anecdotal.
You guys want to dismiss the “factual” evidence that this process provides, in favor of “bad science” and “anecdotal” evidence. Do that sound familiar? It’s the exact opposite course you take for climate change.
I don’t believe in man made global warning because it doesn’t fit a long term model using facts and data.
We should allow the process to move along, using the process that has been safe for decades.
