"Here is my strategy on the cold war: we win, they lose."
Ronald Reagan.
President Trump has done a great job so far. The fact that he is still in office and has had some successes in spite of being continually sabotaged is remarkable.
But President Trump is losing in his attempt to clean up the federal government and drain the swamp.
Most Americans do not realize how extensive the attempt to destroy the Trump Presidency is. Those who work against the president face no consequences for their actions. President Trump only has to lose once and he will be destroyed. He will be impeached, prosecuted and sent to prison.
The media compare Trump supporters to Nazis, ISIS fighters, Klansmen and any other insult they can think of.
These people will never stop working against the president.
President Trump should realize he is in an all out war. Like President Reagan he should make sure he wins and they lose.
And if hes re-elected, he doesnt have to give a damn any more.
If the swamp is not scared to death of that, they should be.
Berry sure knew that!
He actually did break laws, and then continually poked his finger in the eye of both the Judiciary and Legislative Branches.
And he has to do like obunghole did and fire everyone obunghole hired.
You are an idiot. At least 10 lower Obama judge injunctions have been overturned in the SCOTUS. I am not sure you are all there. Do you follow current events?
OK. I don’t see it that way. In a perfect world I am in full agreement, with the Senate refusing to adjourn so there could be no recess appointments and the President having appointments confirmed 3x more slowly than any other President he did not have the luxury of firing all appointees from the get go. That would have been dangerous for the American people. He has been threading the needle for all the days of his presidency.
I think #1 People are aware. #2 I think your post perhaps did not convey what you had in mind to say.
When you say “President Trump needs to understand” the implication, which many reacted negatively to, is that President Trump doesn’t understand nor do his supporters but you do.
I am talking about any duly elected POTUS, he/she has Constitutional powers greater the the Federal Judiciary, the Federal Judiciary below that of the SCOTUS. I DO NOT HAVE THOSE POWERS AND NEITHER DO YOU. IS YOUR EGO SO HUGE YOU ELEVATE(LIBERAL PROJECTION) YOUR STANDING WITH THE COURT TO THAT OF THE OF POTUS? I am not a legal/political equal ( standing with the court ) to the Federal Judiciary, only Congress and the President can claim that. HAVE YOU EVER READ THE US CONSTITUTION?
The purpose of an injunction is to prevent "greater harm" while a case is adjudicated. But that does not apply to the use of Presidential executive power. 99.9999% of the time this "greater harm" would be viable but in this case, the "greater harm" is how, by following lower court injunction, Presidential power is seceded to the Judicial branch and lower courts. This is wrong. Only a SCOTUS ruling should be able to stop an EO. Get it? Are you this Constitutionally ignorant?
Great point. Pelosi as house speaker has been exposed also. Along with a number of RINOs.
Clinton was not then promptly sued and had court orders by low level federal judges that he stop doing what he was doing either.
That is something that must be taken into consideration.
>You are an idiot. At least 10 lower Obama judge injunctions have been overturned in the SCOTUS
So?
According to you, Trump can just “IGNORE” all of it (because reasons), and that a judge is somehow just making rulings on his own as the plaintiff, so he has to be the one to go to another judge or some convoluted nonsense you were pushing.
Trump instead wants it to have the weight of LAW on his side (you know, the 10 overturns by SCOTUS), and not just a windbag’s pronouncements online that he can just pretend these legal maneuverings dont exist.
I can guarantee you that you sure as hell were not complaining when lawsuits were brought against Obama and his administration, and you were likely not saying that Obama ought to just ignore the rulings that came out against him.
So how about you stop with the fantasy, and deal with reality town?
Much of the drainage should have been accomplished in the first two years, when the Republicans held both houses of congress and the presidency.
I would have liked to see him attack, attack, attack during those first two years. Including his own party when they failed to get serious on building the WALL and removing the enemy from positions of power in the swamp. But the opportunity has passed us by, until we wake up and give him congress back.
He may still be stacking the judiciary in his favor.
He has been busy appointing decent judges.
Be cause if the judges he has now refuse to take cases, there’s no point in trying to drain the swamp.
They’ll only protect each other.
I think he’s succeeding some otherwise, the dems would not be trying to hard to impeach him.
Finding honest politicians with a gut for battle, that's much more difficult. And, as I'm sure you remember...candidates were being told by the swamp (including neverTrumpers) that if they worked for Trump that 'they would never work in this town again.'
I don't want to jump to conclusions...what does that mean?
Its more than just being anti-Trump. The powers that be own us and all the hard work we do. They do not want to lose power or money. One President cant apparently have much of an effect against powers fighting for their lives. They use our constitution for evil, and we are prohibited to use it for good. Founders spinning but they surely knew their great acts would be difficult to maintain through perpetuity.
Human nature being what it is. Evil ones dont obey laws.
Exactly so.
You only read what you wanted to read and then stopped. I said that he should ignore the injunction UNTIL SCOTUS either rules in favor of the injunction or against it. Get it?
Explain where in the Constitution the President has to follow a court ordered injunction by a lower federal court judge?
