President Trump is not draining the swamp

Posted on 12/04/2019 7:20:36 AM PST by detective

"Here is my strategy on the cold war: we win, they lose."

Ronald Reagan.

President Trump has done a great job so far. The fact that he is still in office and has had some successes in spite of being continually sabotaged is remarkable.

But President Trump is losing in his attempt to clean up the federal government and drain the swamp.

Most Americans do not realize how extensive the attempt to destroy the Trump Presidency is. Those who work against the president face no consequences for their actions. President Trump only has to lose once and he will be destroyed. He will be impeached, prosecuted and sent to prison.

The media compare Trump supporters to Nazis, ISIS fighters, Klansmen and any other insult they can think of.

These people will never stop working against the president.

President Trump should realize he is in an all out war. Like President Reagan he should make sure he wins and they lose.

At least he tried.
And if he’s re-elected, he doesn’t have to give a damn any more.

People can say what you want about Bill Clinton but I still think he approached the Presidency correctly. On day one he cleaned house in the executive office, FBI and DOJ. Got all of his people in charge. All future Presidents need to follow this SOP.

Trump could use some serious assistance from more than 30 or so Congress Critters.

Shut up, insolent person.

You tell us he is a one-man army who has done a lot, then you excoriate him for not fixing everything.

What are you doing to help this one man? Accusing the one valid worker doing all of the work makes it look like you are a stupid a-hole.

Have you had coffee this morning?

Get a big cup in you and try again.

Trump may be impeached. He will not be removed and he certainly is not going to jail.

That's what I believe "impeachment" is about. Even if Trump is still re-elected, trying to make sure he's an anomaly in the GOP and that when Trump is gone, the GOP returns to control of RINO deep-staters.

Oh, he’s draining it, all right. It’s just a great deal more vast than anyone knew.

That's my thought too. In a second term he can pull out all the stops. But will he have the stomach -- or the enthusiasm -- to do so, or will he sink further into that same swamp? Slogging thru muck and mire takes an awful lot of energy.

There is nothing I can do when a some swampy federal judge places an injunction on perfectly good, common sense, constitutional EO and TRUMP ABIDES BY THE DECISION???!!!!!

He should not do that. He is undermining the Presidency when he does that. If those black robed tyrannical thugs want legislate from the bench with an injunction then they need to take their case to Roberts and SCOTUS.

But President Trump is losing in his attempt to clean up the federal government and drain the swamp. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Thats just wrong. The sign of the president winning in his draining of the swamp is his growing popularity among common Americans, including Democrats. At each rally Trump attemnds, the attendees fill out surveys which have revealed that between 12% and 27% of those attending Trump rallies are registered Democrats. But you will not read that in the MSM, you have to dig for it.

Trump is winning in his battle to drain the swamp.Thats why Schiff and Pelosi are fast tracking presidential impeachment, he is too effective at draining the swamp.President Trump is succeeding.

Draining the swamp would mean downsizing the FBI and the State Department in the biggest way. Then there’s the CIA. There are right wing(Libertarian) calls to eliminate it entirely. Then there’s the income tax. That would take getting rid of the 16th amendment-or is it the 13th? Undoable without 70 Senators.

So you want him to act like a Democrat and actually open himself up for a real impeachment charge. It would be suicidal for him not to obey a court judgement. Either you’re not very bright or you’re another of the progressive plants so common here at FR.

I truly believe it's going to be in his second term.. THATS when the fur is really going to fly..!!
He went into this job as a businessman, and he had a pretty steep learning curve to contend with.. But, I think with four years of "OJT" (on the job training) Trump, the politician, is ready to take on the best that DC has to offer... :)
I think Trump will cure a lot of what ills the US. before he leaves Washington... Act II, is going to be fun to watch....

On the day he was elected, Trump did not have a pool his people to draw on. He had to rely on people within the party to help him on personnel matters. Unfortunately, many of them did not turn out to be willing or able to help drain the swamp.

And he's being creative about it too. Here's just a single example of the hundreds:
Hawley to Introduce Bill to Move Federal Agencies out of Washington D.C. to Economically Stagnant Areas

He should not do that.

What, then would you have him do? Ignore the Rule of Law? Trump seems to work within the confines of the Constitution and consistently beats them at their own game.
