I overheard two men, young white guys in their 20s at Shop Rite this morning in New Jersey, rambling about how food costs are rising there, and they blamed rich Americans.
I said to myself, "wow".
Is that is what America is coming to? Class envy?
Envy plays a major role in life. This brings to mind Henry Fielding’s The History of Tom Jones. In several places in that magnificent novel Fielding referenced envy describing it as “the Sister of Satan, and his constant Companion.” Also: “The black Ingredient which fouls our Disposition is Envy.” (Fielding capitalized words within sentences often.) He also suggested that people hated what they envied describing it “. . . a very malignant Passion.”
Doctor Johnson put it this way: “Envy is mere unmixed and genuine evil; it pursues a hateful end by despicable means, and desires not so much its own happiness as another’s misery.” Rambler #183: December 17, 1751.
was having a conversation this week with a millennial about the growing animosity between millennials and boomers and she said... “boomers destroyed the planet and they’re not part of the solution and need to be dealt with as such”
chilling to me.... as it’s from that thinking that gives rise to genocide, etc.
I live in NJ, Bricktown in Ocean County. There’s a Shop Rite five minutes from my house. Where is the one you’re talking about?
The SF Bay coffee comes int he same type of pod and tastes great at a good price. I buy it for price and taste.

Come and gone, I'm afraid.
He was a absolute POS, but because he was Jewish, even though he was an atheist and entirely unrepresentative of the Torah or Judaic principles, a fair number of Jewish Americans and pseudo-intellectual academics worship him. Very sad.
The Shop Rite of Woodbridge, NJ.
Rich Americans don’t eat trucker convenience store food. Blame the Pakistani at the cash register!
Sadly they don’t even follow the golden rule.
Have the Keurig people sued to stop this yet?
Idiocy is contagious.
You just need to elect more left-wing RINOs in Jersey, Puffy. That’ll put a stop to that, tout de suite.
See my tag line.

Who will they blame if Bernie or Warren deliver the socialist utopia they promise and they are now standing in long lines to buy toilet paper and the food shelves are empty?
Oh I have, many times, most notably when self-employed.
Found out I wasn't just poor, but a real bastard too.
They were right.
The Federal Reserve enforces an inflation tax so that wealthy elite never have to work.
But you support them.
Please enlighten me. Thanks.
Why for? No need to. Right?
Not to my knowledge, but some Keurig models can only be used with Keurig disposable pods. With the popularity of the reusable pods increasing, it wouldn't stretch the imagination to see Keurig design all of their coffeemakers to use their own pods exclusively.
I’ll wait for the person I addressed the request to, to respond.
That is probably a good idea.
Look, I live pretty rural too, but you and I are both online right now, and it’s pretty easy to skip over to check on the latest Koernig goods...crap, really, candied coffee—pumpkin mocha, chocolate blacktooth, whatever, for people who don’t really like coffee.
I suppose I butted in at the idea of all being perfectly well on the old deep far outback, but there still being a yen to check in on the silly city pipples and their inanities of late.
Actually I have always enjoyed your posts, and will continue to, if I can manage not to pop off, and if you don’t mind.
Stay Clear of the Amazon Near Beer Decaf!
And all best wishes to you near and far.
