Problem solving brain teaser...
This was a question on a test a friend recently took for part of a job application.
He said it was not a timed test, just took it at home and emailed it back.
I got the answer, but it took a couple minutes...

1) "The bottle of juice is bigger than the bottle of milk."

2) "The bottle of tea is bigger than the bottle of juice."

3) "The bottle of water is bigger than the bottle of tea."

A. The bottle of juice is smaller than the bottle of oil.

B. The bottle of water is smaller than the bottle of tea.

C. The bottle of milk is smaller than the bottle of oil.

D. The bottle of oil is smaller than the bottle of milk.

E. The bottle of oil is smaller than the bottle of water.

Better yet: If the boss asks you what 2+2 is you answer - what ever you want it to be.

That seemed pretty easy. D is the answer.

My aunt was asked a question like this for a job back in the ‘70 or ‘80s.

“What do flies and trees have in common?”

I puzzled on that for quite a while and finally just asked her what the answer is.

The right answer is, “Someone is destroying Mother Gaia by drinking bottled water.”

That is the right answer for a woke corporation looking for woke employees.

Could it be that the true management test was:

See if any candidate would send response “This test is B.S. and in no way indicates what a great trailer park manager I would be.”

Sort of like the “Read all the instructions test” Where at the top of the exam it states “Read all the instructions.”

The last instruction says, “Turn the exam paper over and sign name to back, put down pencil and wait for further instructions...”

Thanks - I don’t have the foggiest idea.

I’m wiped out - had to get my husband in for one last test (MRI) today to satisfy the neurologist and we’re both done...He’s not interested in any more and neither am I. None of them are going to solve anything. I’ve put aside the important ones we both need - eye exams and dental for the wish list of a doctor.

"Tells you it is smaller than everything else."

Differences in specific gravity.

Bottles vs jugs.

Heavier specific gravity liquids usually have more value.

1-3 never mentioned oil.

D - It's the only solution that gives a direct comparative relationship between the tea and oil in the chain of items. I'll ask my friend is he agrees...

Rodrigo Delecto: I concur with my wise friend Zack Attack who is always so brilliant.
