The 50th anniversary of Neil Armstrong becoming the first man to set foot on the Moon is this weekend.
Instead of using the celebration of the Apollo Moon landing to bring Americans together in a time of intense partisan bickering, the New York Times and the Washington Post are exploiting it to divide Americans even further.
“The Apollo program was designed by men, for men. If we do not acknowledge the gender bias of the early space program, it becomes difficult to move past it,” tweeted the Times, with a link to a story about women having to “escape Earth’s gender bias”.
Not to be outdone, the Washington Post took the opportunity to take another swipe at that new embodiment of evil incarnate; white men.
“The culture that put men on the moon was intense, fun, family-unfriendly, and mostly white and male,” they tweeted.
Because there’s nothing like throwing the very people who got America to the Moon under a bus on the 50th anniversary of their stunning achievement.
Respondents to the tweets were decidedly unimpressed.
“D-Day, June, 1944. A culture mostly white and male,” joked one.
“WaPo has just encouraged hating the people that put people on the Moon? A sickly rag at best,” added another.
Both tweets were ratioed into oblivion. Americans are sick of everything being filtered through the lens of identity politics.

The culture and ethnic makeup of the USA was such and generally compatible that we succeeded as a nation.
Today the globalist elites and leftists in USA are obsessed with stuffing us full of new third worlders who have never experienced success as a nation, except to make their corrupt but inept leadership rich. These are the people that will allow corrupt leadership to plunder us of rights, freedom and our wealth. Perhaps that is the ultimate agenda of leftist elites.
Next they will complain that is was Americans that were the first on the moon.

Consider those control room shots - crew cuts and pocket protectors, and the people in them had to earn their seats. That this is now considered prima facie evidence of White Privilege tells us how much stupidity the advanced social thinkers have injected into our society and what damage has been done. I am sick of filtering everything by gender and race and denigrating any achievement accomplished by “white men” simply because they were not accomplished by the proper number of women and minorities. Historic fact...50 years ago two MEN first walked on the moon. The fact that they were white males should in no way diminish this great accomplishment anymore than the fact the Wright brothers were also white males. The left would have us alter history no different than in Orwell’s 1984 where the state constantly changed history to comply with the party line sending the truth into the oblivion of “memory holes”.

The WaPo and the Times are both infested with SJW types who at the core are jealous of accomplishments made a half-century ago which members of the victim class can’t begin to duplicate. The victim class has two modes. Whining about how they’ve been cheated of rewards, for which they’ve made no effort to achieve, and sniping at anyone who actually achieves anything on their own.

Incidentally, a desire to honor women by being the best a man can be, has always been basic to the appeal of noble adventures for the young male. But those who seek, insanely, to create hostility between the sexes, will never admit the fact, or admit the tremendous benefits, to both sees.
