In the days ahead, Biden will continue to make embarrassing gaffes, move further to the left politically, apologize for previous statements and attempt to pacify his critics
Since his entry into the race, confident supporters of former Vice President Joe Biden have been predicting his ascension to the White House and an easy victory over President Trump next year. They point to polls which show Biden leading his Democratic opponents in his march toward the nomination and defeating President Trump in a hypothetical 2020 election matchup.
The problem with this analysis is that Joe Biden is a very flawed candidate. While he was elected to the United States Senate at the age of 29 and served for six terms, Biden has not done well as a national candidate. He ran for President twice, in 1988 and 2008, and bombed both times, receiving less than 1% of the vote.
Joe does not need a throne. He needs a rocking chair.

As long as the DNC believes Biden is their best chance to defeat President Trump, they will continue to back him. The person to watch, however, is whoever the DNC selects as his running mate. That person will be the real "anointed one." They just want Biden to get them the White House. Once that objective has been accomplished, after a reasonable period of time, he'll step down for "health reasons", and Vice President Harris, Booker, Warren, or whoever will take over. Everybody gets what they want. Biden realizes his life long dream of winning the presidency, and the DNC subsequently gets the person they really wanted in the Oval Office.

It’s all conjecture. But that seems pretty sound.
Of the current two score Democrats running for president, Joe is a giant among the pygmies. However the pygmies have sharp knives and will swarm on Joe. Joe is too old, too associated with the old guard to satisfy the young socialists and has to flip flop on nearly everything he ever said to appease the hair on fire crazies. Sorry Joe just get on the train and go home.
