Historians have known for many years that civil rights icon Martin Luther King had been unfaithful to his wife. But now, David Garrow, who won a Pulitzer Prize in 1987 for his biography of King, has unearthed previously classified FBI documents showing that King was genuinely sexually depraved. From the Times of London (behind subscriber paywall):
A huge archive of documents recently released from Federal Bureau of Investigation files exposes in detail Kings sexual activities with dozens of women as he travelled the country campaigning against racial inequality...

I would say the Deep State came after MLK. First of all a prancing homosexual running the FBI had him illegally wiretapped, using bugs placed in an illegal burglary. And now, is Trump is declassifying everything related to the coup attempt, suddenly the FBI fires a shot across the bow and reminds everybody that they have blackmail material on all kinds of people.
Quite a coincidence that we’re hearing all about MLK 55 years later all the sudden
Yeah, it was a communist plot to put an end to Jim Crow and segregation. Lame
Yeah, cause the country was so better off with colored only sections in public and private places. You know, when they knew their place, right? Shouldn’t you be at stormfront or some other white supremacy site?
+1
“I think it might be along the lines of...
Look Trump is using the FBI to tarnish the memory
of MLK. What a low bad man Trump is, etc.!”
That is my thinking as well. The left will discount the substance of the charges — old news, everyone knew MLK and JFK cheated etc — and focus on the angle you mentioned.
You really think these ‘tapes’ are going to be released?
I was alive back then - I could see the smoke from the riots rising over DC from the garden steps where I would sit at my home.
Many white people absolutely hated and wanted to destroy MLK. The ‘communist’ connection made it more convenient for the FBI to spy on him; but I don’t think it was communism they were really worried about with regard to his influence - and certainly not his sexual proclivities.
(Not any more than ‘Russia, Russia, Russia!’ is why they want to destroy Trump.)
Like I said, the day is coming when the Left will vilify MLK, while Conservatives will be the ones defending him.
It probably was.
We talked a lot about his beatings of prostitutes, which was him directly. Our general consensus was that the team surveilling him should have intervened on that and politics be damned.
“I have a dream.
I dream that someday little black babies and little white babies are playing in the park together.
And the little black baby whupped the little white baby topside the head. And stole his lunch money.
And the little white baby cried out, ‘Where is my justice?’.
And the little black baby said to the little white baby ‘You ain’t gettin’ no justice because the police are black and the police chief is black and the mayor is black and the governor is black. So you ain’t gettin’ no justice today, you little cracker.
Now you understand what it used to feel like bein’ us.’
I have a dream...”
Speaking of communists. The KKK, Jim Crow, and segregationist might as well have gotten a paycheck from the Kremlin for their valuable service to the red cause.
Their diligent work against everything America stands for made it easy for communists to exploit.
It’s about like having a scoundrel living in the neighborhood. You beat your wife, and pretty soon the scoundrel is telling her how badly she’s treated. Scoundrels are out there yeah, but the scoundrel would have no way if you weren’t beating your wife in the first place.
The real workers for the red cause were the racists who allowed white only seats, white only water fountains, and wouldn’t allow blacks to sit at the lunch counter. Good little bouncing Bolsheviks they were.
Probably won’t see the light of day . Just like JFK files.
Pelosi was involved with trying to pass a bill to release the tapes but she dropped it
We keep hearing about the content of the MLK tapes. But nothing of an illegal warrantless FBI wiretap, or the illegal break-ins to do them. And we don’t hear anything about a bureau run by a prancing cross-dressing homosexual for 50 years, and operating on blackmail.
Is there a statute of limitations on civil rights violations? Some of those creeps might still be alive
bfl
There was a lawsuit. That is how the tapes ended up being sealed
Is there any proof that Hoover was a practicing homosexual? Cross-dressing isn’t proof of that - people can be very complicated - and I’ve heard an interview of someone who apparently knew him who said that he was not really a homosexual...
Not that it matters that much. On this thread, I’m concerned with racism, and the manipulation for which it is used for certain divisive ends, over and over again in our history.
The street names are invaluable notifications to visitors to avoid the area. Kind of like posting skulls upon pikes along the pathway to a dangerous village.
The sole source for Hoover being a homosexual is not very reliable.
If Hoover was gay he was a deeply closeted one. The only evidence is his sharing a DC townhouse with his 2nd in command - Clyde Tolverson (I think is the name!). I think it’s more accurate to say he was asexual or nonsexual in attitude. Such people do exist!
“Yeah, cause the country was so better off with colored only sections in public and private places.”
Yeah, because that was the worst problem we had.
We had segregated lunch counters, and I could walk through the black part of town after dark in safety. Seventy percent of black babies were born to intact families. Historically black universities were cranking out black professionals without the taint of affirmative action. Et cetera, et cetera, et cetera.
You apparently believe we’re much better off with integrated lunch counters and the savage, murderous, racist hatred that forms the world view of the vast majority of blacks. Race relations have never been worse, certainly not since the 1950s, and probably in the country’s history.
And it is no accident.
“Shouldnt you be at stormfront or some other white supremacy site?”
Shouldn’t you be at DU or some other collection of low-IQ ignoramuses?
We were moving toward integration, naturally, without burning cities, when along came the “civil rights” movement. Half a century later, things are worse than ever.
First of all, if you’re a crossdresser, you’re a homo unless you’re working Vaudeville. That’s just the way it is. Second of all, he was a lifelong bachelor, lived with the man, left everything he owned to that man, took vacations to the beach with that man. He was obsessed with his appearance, and the physical appearance of his agent. Queer as a $2 bill
