Every time I pass the little girls in the grocery store, dressed in their uniforms selling Girl Scout Cookies, helicopter moms hovering behind them...........I have the urge to tell them that because of the corrupt relationship that exists between GS and PP, I won't be buying their cookies. And, to tell them that PP sells live baby body parts for lots of money....and further to tell them to look it up for themselves....and to close with 'don't believe anything your parents and teachers tell you' 'think and find out for your selves'......It then occurred to me that if we had a nation-wide campaign to create a script to share with these wee cookie sellers, we could actually, maybe have some impact with these young minds that get saturated with the progressive world view on a daily basis.
Any ideas?
Don’t.
Just say no thanks. The little girls are too young to even know what planned parenthood does.
Heres a suggestion... buy cookies or move on quietly.
Life is too short to be a dick to 10 year old girls.
The kid? You won't. You'll just piss off the parent.
There is no up-side to this approach.
I just tell them that I already have five boxes from my niece (not true) and thank them for the offer. I won’t give the Girl Scouts my cash but I’m not going to lecture the girls. I think some stranger giving them a speech on sin isn’t going to convince them of anything, personally.
Whatever script you come up with should be addressed to the Girl Scouts headquarters. Leave the girls, and their parents, be. Just my two cents.
I agree, I am polite and say “No thanks.” But I feel like saying, “Eating your cookies is like eating dead baby parts.”
..just give ‘em treefiddy and be on your way...
tell the scout master or let the organization know.
You are getting a lot of good advice from the posts above. Follow it.
I support the girls not their politics. Life is too short.
Yeah. Don’t.
Time and place.
My wife struggled with telling the girls no, and I suggested the same thing. We simply tell them we already bought more than we will eat. They thank us, and we don’t by any.
Theyre just cookies. Seek help.
JUST DONT.
Many of their families are conservative, but the little girls friends are in GS so she joined. And if these families (the adults) do support things you do not, remember that they are Americans and have the right to believe what they believe.
You not buying is fine. Dont tell them why. Everyone should have the right to peaceably assemble and legally sell too. Golden rule. And these are children; dont politicize what to them is just selling yummy treats.
Besides, it's the Girl Scout Organization that I have objections too. Same goes for the Boy Scout Organization too.
I also encounter “BSA” kids in front of stores simply collecting cash.
I tell both completely compromised organizations, “I give to other causes.”
And I do.
Write an article for your blog or newspaper. Children really don’t sell them anymore. The parents do it all. If you are approached directly by a parent, say something I guess. Otherwise don’t bother the children at the grocery store.
