Is it possible that the person underneath the KKK outfit was Northam's wife (his date then?)
Northam was too tall to be under the outfit, so he had to be in blackface. So who was under the KKK hood?

Probably a black buddy of his? Assuming he was not a true racist.

If you watch the initial news conference, she was his puppet master.

That’s almost certainly a female. I hear that back then, people went to parties in pairs, typically one male and one female.

Ralph, when you said you wanted to get me under the sheets, I had a little different idea than this.

It may be a random photo he put on his yearbook page that he thought was funny.
The key to it was they were both drinking beer together.

My guess is that the person in the KKK costume is female and it was supposed to be funny--as if a Klansperson would date a black person.
I get tired of people judging someone else's motives based on their own current feelings about something. If Northam is a racist, this isn't evidence. If he is, the evidence is his refusal to shake hands with his black opponent after the debate in 2013 for the lieutenant governor's position.

Keep him in. It makes it harder for the Dems to cry out their favorite word of all: racism.

Sadly no. It won’t even make it hard for him to cry racism. He’s a democrat. They are held to a different standard.

How can people know the kkk person was “too tall” without knowing the height of the blackface? Further I don’t think you can see their feet, maybe the kkk stepped up on something to be taller than the “victim”. Photos can be misleading. If he wasn’t the kkk he would have said that.
