Well Piers we just are not willing to give up any freedom or liberty on a false pretense. No guns does not make it any more difficult to slaughter people then buying a gallon of gasoline and a pack of matches.
No guns would not have changed the hate within this murderers heart. But more to the point HOW would you accomplish you suggestion? Estimate of guns in America range from 250 million to 310 million. So if every LAW ABIDING citizen gave up their guns how many guns do you think the Non Law Abiding types would have? How would that stop nut bags from killing people? I’m not just willing to give up some guns, I already did. I gave a rifle, a pistol, and a shotgun to each of my children (and I have a lot of kids). I recommend that all decent Americans collect enough of each firearm to share them out to kids when the kids are of age. Does that make this petty tyrant feel better?
