The Trump bandwagon is swinging into top gear--with Jordan in the box seat and the PLO left flailing way behind.
Any lingering thought that the Palestine Liberation Organisation (PLO) would have any role to play in President Trumps soon to-be-released peace plan has vanished - after Secretary of State Mike Pompeo announced that $165 million had been deducted from funding to the PLO because of its continuing pay for slay policy in breach of the Taylor Force Act.
Jordan has now signalled its preparedness to replace the PLO by publicly supporting Trump in an article written in the Jordan Times by Walid Sadia retired Jordanian diplomat with over 35 years experience and himself a former editor of the Jordan Times.
Jordan doesn’t like them anyways.................
I thought Jim Jordan was already on the Trump Train??
Trump is working to engineer an entirely new balance of power in the middle east. This is fairly amazing to watch. High risk high return stuff.
The last 6 Presidents, going back to Carter have had their hands in the Middle East. It's tough not to.
If Trump can make something more stable out of that hellhole region, it will be a remarkable, beautiful thing. And, he would succeed where none have in most of our lifetimes.
Peace maker.... Donald trump
Anything royal prince Kushner comes up with that makes Israel physically smaller or weaker is a non-starter, even if the Pali-scum agree - which they will not,
Worst Idea DJT ever had - the idea is to eliminate Israel not make peace with it, as far as the Muslims Arbs are concerned.
> Jordan jumps on Trump bandwagon
Who’s still not on the bandwagon?
* PLO
* Iran
* Boko Haram
* ISIS (whoever is left)
* DNC
I’m sure there are others. I’m just including the ones who are willing to kill people (literally) to oppose Trump. China’s not on the bandwagon but even they aren’t making statements encouraging anti-Trump crazies to shoot up a conservative baseball practice. Unlike Hillary, China will be civil while we negotiate.
Yep. The key is to ignore the so-called palis and let the legitimate govts come to a reasonable accommodation. Let the palis have some scraps. Before 67 and Leila Khaled and crew, who gave a sh!t what they thought?
JINOs/SHJs
I think the Jordanians still carry a grudge against the PLO for the assassination attempts against their king. Conversely, Jordan became very good friends with Israel, albeit silently, after that and still works closely with them today.
Damn! Thought for a second there that Michael Jordan was joining Kanye.
Yeah but we weren’t too sure if Michael Jordan would help to make peace in the Middle East....
President Trump needs to abandon this “Deal of the Century” immediately. Look at what has been happening to the United States with just the weather! Record-breaking heat waves, then floods, now hurricanes, to come this winter who knows how bad.
DJT is a very intelligent man and a shrewd, seasoned financial expert. Yes, he has the “Art of the Deal” book and others. God gave him those talents. But has he truly inquired of the King of Kings and Lord of Lords concerning this “deal”? I don’t believe so; he’s relying on his own understanding, which is a treacherous pitfall.
The reason Nikki Haley abruptly resigned her post as Ambassador was likely because she’s already been apprised of what’s in the “Deal”, and removed herself from being any part of its promotion or implementation. Yes, she is still there until the end of the year, but that talk confuses me.
President Trump, the Lord God Almighty, whose People are Israel, sees what you are trying to do to Israel as an abomination in His eyes. Stop what you are doing immediately, and inform the U.S. and the world why. NO ONE EXCEPT THE LORD GOD, who created all things, can bring peace. Jesus IS THE PRINCE OF PEACE, and no other. His Word proclaims this. Do what is right according to The Word, or things will only get worse; God is judging and warning!
LOL. The article had to be read carefully for context :)
“If Trump can make something more stable out of that hellhole region, it will be a remarkable, beautiful thing. And, he would succeed where none have in most of our lifetimes”
I don’t expect stable or sane. But if Egypt, Saudi, Jordan, Israel and the UAE hold a more or less united front against the crazies, that leaves Iran and Turkey to joust for leadership of the bad guys. Our goal would then be to prevent either of them from winning.
Stable... quasi-stable... anything is better than continual chaos. If sanity can be encouraged in the manner you say... that would be fantastic.
Your take is that Turkey is on the path to an attempted reconstruction of Ottoman Sunni glory, that Iran wants the Caliphate to be Sunni, and that most of the others can be persuaded to a less ambitious, less messianic path. I hope you’re right.
