Reading the headline might leave some in disbelief for different reasons. Is Senator Ted Cruz an outsider? Hes a first term United States Senator who has alienated everyone and has yet to secure a single Senate endorsement. Businessman Donald Trump even has more Senate endorsements than him. How much clearer of an outsider definition can that get?
Valid, to a degree, but theres more to the story at this point. Senator Cruzs background in politics extends a lot further back than his rookie Senate career. To be clearer, it extends back more than a decade and a half, when he joined the presidential campaign of George W. Bush in 1999. As a member of the Bush 2000 presidential campaign, he was a domestic policy advisor to the then-Texas Governor. Senator Cruz was later responsible for helping assemble Bushs legal team, which included John Roberts.
Fast forward to the present day.

The ultimate insider, Bush crony.
How can he be and insider when he wa backed by the Tea party and Sarah palin?
I voted against all odds 3 times for this man to defeat David Dewhurst.
He has done everything I asked of him and been a thorn in the side of the establishment.
The GOP establishment is dividing the party and voters, it is they who wants to fight the front runner, because he cannot be controlled by the donors like the others.
If anyone else was the front runner then the establishment would not be dividing the party and would be saying lets coalesce behind the front runner.
Apparently the author of this screed doesn’t keep up with the times.
Mike Lee endorsed Ted Cruz 3 days ago.
I am a Cruz supporter, but less so after yesterday.
It’s very simple. Trump is crude, simplistic and erratic. But every word of his speech is protected.
What happened on Saturday was unprecedented in American history. The supporters and activists of one political party (the Democrats) have organized themselves to systematically and violently disrupt the events of a candidate in another party. Moveon.org is a ‘mainstream’ part of the Democrat party, and has coordinated closely with that party for over a decade. BLM activists have been embraced by both major Democrat presidential candidates.
Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders, and Barrack Obama need to be confronted by demands that they condemn, disavow and disassociate themselves with these organizations that are actively organizing violence against their political opponents. No matter how distasteful some of Trumps words may be, words are not the same thing as violence. Trump is in no way responsible for the violence this weekend. This is entirely the work of the political left.
Rubio, Kasich and Cruz need to get the hell behind the First Ammendment. They are demonstrating in real time why conservatives mistrust the electeed Republican party for theur continual betrayal of Constitutional principles.
“He has done everything I asked of him and been a thorn in the side of the establishment.”
Except when he is voting with them/for them when it really matters — TPA, Corker bill.
until he saw his campaign struggling and has now gone to the establishment.
He was always establishment , he fooled me until I woke up and did some research, hopefully you will wake up too.
Bush administration
Cruz joined the George W. Bush presidential campaign in 1999 as a domestic policy adviser, advising then-Governor George W. Bush on a wide range of policy and legal matters, including civil justice, criminal justice, constitutional law, immigration, and government reform.
Cruz assisted in assembling the Bush legal team, devising strategy, and drafting pleadings for filing with the Supreme Court of Florida and U.S. Supreme Court, in the case Bush v. Gore, during the 2000 Florida presidential recounts, leading to two wins for the Bush team. Cruz recruited future Chief Justice John Roberts and noted attorney Mike Carvin to the Bush legal team.
Sara Palin isn’t backing him now is she????
Have you bothered to look at the insider connections of Chad Sweet. Let me guess..the answer is no.
Up until two weeks ago I was going to vote for him , but after seeing these last two weeks and doing some research then I am convinced I made the right decision and went with Trump
If you look at Cruzs campaign prior to Trump is was a TYPICAL GOPe talking points campaign.
Yes, Cruz is an outsider.
Cruz “Established” himself when he tried to ram thru a 500% increase in h-1B visas. That was a signal that I am on your team.
“Is Senator Ted Cruz an outsider or establishment presidential candidate?”
He certainly had no trouble in picking a side when Trump’s Chicago rally was canceled.
Trumpmania has FR looking like the first three rows at a WWE Smackdown.
“I never thought I would see the day that FR would assassinate this man”
We never thought that Cruz would TURN ON US, but he did.
There was nothing wrong with the TPA vote
I saw TRump tell me he uses H1Bs because he is a bidness guy
“A lot of people saw right through this phony carnival barker.”
Not me, I wanted him to be Trump’s VP.
Not anymore.
Ask the gang at Goldman and Citibank - ask Neil Bush as the CFR and its Committee for One North America. The connection to the Bushes and his disgraceful sell out to the left about Chicago say he is a stealth establishment candidate.
Who is on the same payroll as the cable news gabbers. Their propaganda is way too similar to not be coordinated. When a private event is attacked by mutant thugs who start fights with peaceful attendees, the cable fascists say "violence broke out". As retarded as they are, they're smarter than that.
I have no earthly Idea who Chad sweet is
I have worked with thousands of jerks
Its hard to get out of bed without stepping on a jerk.
