Why is Cruz different from Obama?
Me | 2/26/16 | Me

We used to go crazy because of Obama's birth in Kenya to a foreign father and American mother. How is Ted Cruz different? Would a child born here to foreigners be any different? That's Marco's plight. I'm interested in seeing how the poo flings and also if instead of Marco or Ted, the child's first name was Mohammed twenty years from now with massive immigration and amnesty.

Ted doesn’t strike me as the Seth Lord that is Obama simply because he was always bitch-slapping the rest of the the Senate when the were trying to do something unconstitutional or damaging to the country.

I am a Trump supporter. Ted Cruz, despite his flaws is nothing like the piece of filth we know as ‘obama’.

So foreigners are ok if they agree with you? What if they don’t? Don’t go 14th on me now because I know what the intent was.

But Ted is probably not eligible. He does fight for America though. He fights harder than Trump and the rest of the Republican field. I think he gets a bad rap about immigration because he is humane. I do believe he would close the border, regardless if he was elected. He would also be calm with foreign leaders, I think. Trump is not going to have a cool head.

Seth Lord is the name of Tracy Lord’s father, in “The Philadelphia Story.”

how about this

my Italians grandparents who came over late in life were more patriotic than 99 percent of the under 35 crowd now and I would have a man who got here at 20 and loved the country be president than the spoiled garbage we have in this country now.

outdated and backwards law.

because we KNOW how much the under 35 white college people who probably go back six generations LOVE this country.

I live in NYC. It’s about as foreign a land as any other compared to the rest of the country.

you will Lie, you will Cheat, and you will Steal, among other things, to get ahead. At least in the financial world

or you will fail.

I hope trump isn’t applying that to his run for office.

I'm with the firm Woo, Flung, Poo, Esq in Shanghai.

Parents must be US citizens so that there would be no divided loyalties. Father absolutely
had to be. Cruz, Rubio, Obama all disqualified. But what court will adjudicate this?
Who knows?

Under the citizenship law Cruz was a citizen at birth, hence natural born, that’s all it means. He’s also thoroughly American.

Obama, if he were born overseas would not be born a citizen under that same law because his mother was not 21 years old yet. So if you believe his mother took a transatlantic flight while pregnant to birth him in a third world craphole village, then he was not a natural born citizen, and since he was never naturalized he wouldn’t be a citizen at all actually, though he’d be entitled to apply for naturalization.

He’s an internationalist commie toad who hates this country which is why some conservatives are so eager that he not be an American citizen.

Enough with the birther crap, really. Cruz is eligible, Cruz is American. No court is ever gonna say otherwise. Your precious Trump is winning anyway so why not cut the crap?

I’m not jealous. I just want my country to be controlled by its citizens instead of an elite, whether they be Washington insiders or billionaires.

I deeply respect Donald Trump. He’s not perfect, none of us are, but I don’t buy the two-faced liar crap going around FR. I read Crippled America. Trump is the real deal.

Cruz hasn’t accomplished anything. He’s just a windbag who’s offered nothing more than rhetoric. His appeal to conservatives is derived from ‘hope’ and magical thinking.

In this regard, Cruz is very much like Obama.

There is no citizenship law for natural born, that is what you people keep missing. Natural born means that there is no need to interpret citizenship. That in no way, can the person have citizenship passed unto them by some other country, with or without their knowledge.

Thus if you were born in this country or territories of the U. S. and both of your parents were U. S. citizens at the time of birth then you are a natural born citizen. If you do not meet those criteria than what Congress has enacted is used to decide if you are an American citizen at birth.

Why is this so difficult for people to understand? Congress and the laws they create have nothing to do with natural born citizenship, but rather citizenship for those who can not be considered natural born citizens.

Obama, if he were born overseas would not be born a citizen under that same law because his mother was not 21 years old yet.

IF Obama had been born in Kenya....it had to do with the law saying his mother had to be....."physically present in the United States or its outlying possessions prior to the child's birth for 10 years, at least 5 of which were after the age of 14."

The "birthers" said she couldn't have lived in the US 5 years after turning 14...I THINK. There were so many crazy birther stories flying around.......it's hard to keep them straight....

Guess you'll have to ask Trump for sure.....since he seems to be "king" of the birther stories
