The 100-Year-Old Agreement You Need to Know About to Understand Whats Driving the Islamic State Sep. 18, 2014 8:45pm Erica Ritz
Glenn Beck broke down the history of the Middle East on his television program Thursday, focusing on a nearly 100-year-old agreement that he says is integral to understanding the motivations of the Islamic State: the Sykes-Picot Agreement.
If you do not understand the Sykes-Picot Agreement, Beck said, you cannot fully understand the Islamic State, or why the Israelis and the Palestinians will never reach a two-state solution.
Though many go back to 1948 and the creation of the modern state of Israel when examining the history of Middle Eastern conflicts, Beck said you actually have to go back to 1916 and World War I.

Yep, Sykes-Picot is necessary to understand why the Koran says to kill all infidels.
Oh, we’re poor little victims the British set up funky borders for us! That’s why we want to RULE THE ENTIRE WORLD.
Sykes-Picot merely laid a framework for the current ME unrest and violence that is endemic to Moslems societies, tribes, groups of any sort. It is not even a proximal cause. It just laid out the spaces on the board. It has no bearing on whether there is Mohammedan violence against Jews and foreigners and against each other. Moslems have been doing that for 1400 years.
Genesis records in three places that Isaac was Abraham's son, his only son.
The land is Israels. Nobody elses.
Yes, this explains how again and again the United States is saddled with the mess that the British and French caused during WWI by their chopping up the old Ottoman Empire into states created by them in the Middle East.
Well worth watching documentary:

Yeah, and the Jordanians still resent that huge notch in their border with Saudi, known as “Winston’s hiccup”.
I do think that the Middle East would benefit from an independent Kurdish state, just saying.
OK, I'll be serious. We didn't have to be involved, because we could have done what we had the chance to do seven years ago: remove the worst of the terrorists from Iraq via the surge, helped the Kurds gain the autonomy they have wanted for at least 100 years for which they would have remained our forceful allies, surrounded Iran on all sides (Iraq/Turkey on the west, "stans" on the north, Afghanistan on the east, Sixth Fleet to the south) and contained her while supporting the later 2009 uprising--and drill-baby-drilled in north America, complete with pipelines, trains, and tankers, to make the Middle East and Russian fossil fuels less and less relevant.
It is because we didn't do any of the above after January 2009, however, that we are stuck having to clean up the mess now--and to be honest, we won't be really cleaning up the mess until at least 2017, and not even then if Hillary! replaces the present occupant of the Oval Office.
I agree with Beck that European powers carved up the middle east arbitrarily, causing problems.
And I especially agree that Europeans chased the Jewish people out of Europe and their colonies - and they are responsible for the creation of the Jewish state, as a last refuge from European slaughter.
And it ticks me off when these same Europeans take the side of the Palestinians, as if the Jews are some uninvited guest in the region.
But Beck forgot something. ISIS has put out graphics showing their domination of the ENTIRE WORLD. Not just the Levant - the whole world.
Everything you need to know about islam can be found in the Qu’ran and the Hadiths.
Everything else is misdirection.
It is a religious / political death cult. Period.
It causes misery and suffering wherever it exists. Period.
It would not have mattered one bit if the Brits had selected completely different borders.
Good thread, thanks!
Doctrine is that which drives ISIS. Any student of theology (and one does not have to be a graduate of theological studies) will tell you its about their systematic theology. It's really that simple. Their books which they derive spiritual governance, gives them direction.
It isn't anything more complicated than that. There are a metric shit-ton of scholars that have already stated this (as if anyone needed the comfort of having scholars weigh in on the issue).
Stop muddying the waters.
Right, Glenn. It’s all Europe’s fault. Those poor Muslims with their grievances only want what rightfully belongs to them.
This is the new “mellow” Beck who would rather be Walt Disney than Rush Limbaugh, I guess.

you are somewhat correct and somewhat wrong, Sykes-Picot DOES have something to do with current IS problem, thats what this group is after is the land/borders BEFORE the S-P “secret hush hush” agreement by British and French. they want these “borders” removed, they even say so in their prop videos BY NAME they mention S-P, several times that i have seen. that is also why they hate the French and British worse than any other foreigner/non mooslim, if thats even possible! they also mention that in their prop videos, the arabic and jewish communities were both promised the same Palestine which NEITHER got “by design” to cause even more widespread conflict between the two. these sh*thole countries were SUPPOSED to be ruled by radical dictators BY DESIGN, and they have almost all been removed, now look at the mess they have
Mike
exactly! i know they have been fighting since the beginning of time but the S-P dirty dealings by French and British has a lot to do with conflicts of the past 100 years!

Obama Pushes Nations Into World War 3

The plunge into taking military action on Syria is not just reminiscent of Iraq, but is representative of Obamas continued hot war against Russia that has gone from proxy to direct over the last several days.
The situation in Syria has always been a proxy war between the United States and Russia, and that is even admitted by the mega news networks who dont ever dare to mention Obamas secret orders demanding support for the Syrian rebels back in 2011 (in order to crush the Putin-backed Assad). But that all changed when Israel directly attacked a Russian missile depot, launching what amounts to a direct attack on the Russian forces.
obama-ww3-russiaAs you may be aware if you actively read Storyleak or Infowars, Russia ultimately called upon a combat readiness drill following this attack. More than 160,000 Russian troops from across the nation met with naval ships, aerial bombers and fighters, and other assorted military wings in order to attain immediate combat readiness. It is no coincidence that this coincided with the Israeli attacks on Russian missile depots, which the media was even able to confirm publicly through US officials after weeks of silence over the attack.
As you can plainly see, Russia is not playing around. But either is Obama in his crusade to destroy any shred of hope left for the relations of the United States and Russia. It was on the Jay Leno show appearance we clearly saw this reality.

thx for the info! yes i knew about the Russian combat readiness, as i have seen several articles where the title read “when will the US ATTACK Russia and China” also seeing a lot of air space intrusions in the baltics by Russia, im not sure if hes provoking an attack or just showing some sort of strength. either way it’s kinda scary actually really scary that a WWIII could be in the near future
