A satanic rock band from Sweden known as Ghost is planning a 13-stop tour in America beginning in New York City on January 18.
The band, whose keeps the names of its members anonymous, is actually a devil-worshiping ministry that features a lead singer who calls himself “Papa Emeritus” and dresses up as a kind of satanic pope in a skull mask and cardinal’s robes. Their “13 Dates of Doom” tour in the U.S. will include two other “doom rocker” bands, Blood Ceremony and Ancient Wisdom.
Their flyers advertise the tour in this way:
“In the name of Satan, we will conduct thirteen rituals in thirteen different cities throughout the United States and Canada and now we are summoning all of our devotees to partake in these blasphemous eves of black magic.”

I thought “Blue Swede” had reunited.....if the “ooooga oooga ooooga shaka” at the beginning of their version of “Hooked On A Feeling” wasn’t Satanic, I don’t know what is.
Sounds like someone has a schtick! Someone should tell them this was done to death in the 80s.
Doom metal is really popular in Sweden. Kind of counter to the normal image of the place. Which is probably why it thrives, if I lived in a place that projected that much insane happiness I’d probably be listening to even more gloomy music than I already do.
Wow, these guys are really bad. I don’t think anyone need worry about this band influencing many young minds since their music really does truly suck. It is basically a bad attempt at imitating the old Mercyful Fate/King Diamond shtick. The result is epic failure.

I mean really, how much imagination does it take to be in a Death Metal band, you play basically one riff, all the lyrics are the same, and all you have to do is grunt out the unintelligible lyrics.
