Last December 14th Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry was killed during an Arizona shootout with members of a Mexican drug cartel. But before the facts surrounding this murder could be buried with its victim, David Codrea and Mike Vanderboegh brought the story to the American public.
Working with contacts within the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF), these men revealed what is now known as Project Gunwalker the deliberate facilitation by the ATF of the sale of guns to known straw purchasers for Mexican drug cartels. Two of the rifles literally walked across the border by the ATF were found at the scene of agent Terrys murder
On February 26th, Vanderboegh printed an article entitled America as a Free Fire Zone: A Critical Examination of Gun Culture Rationalizations on his Sipset Street Irregulars blog. Written by Ernest Partridge, professor of Environmental Ethics at Wisconsins Northland College, the article predictably rehashes the same attacks, tripe and misinformation for which gun-grabbers are famous.
For decades, 2nd Amendment supporters have responded to anti-gun rights declarations of the type made by Professor Partridge with facts, reason and well researched statistics.
But Vanderboeghs reply to the learned professor is truly one for the ages. I used to argue history, facts and common sense with such as you, but gave it up as a bad job, he writes of once being asked his opinions on gun control by a citizen disarmament advocate.
And when asked by the fellow for a short answer summing up his views, Vanderboegh simply answered, If you try to take our firearms, we will kill you. It boils down to that, he continues. If you try to take our firearms (liberty, property, insert any other God-given, inalienable right) we will kill you.

Such talk is so uncivil....it’s about time!
The guest on the show breezily dismissed such talk. It was a sting operation. Police have done such things for decades. A few items are given to bad guys to show good faith, and the end result is that lots of bad guys get arrested, and entire criminal operations are busted wide open. Happens all the time. Nothing to see here. Move along.
The host responded with so much relief it was palpable.
This is really bad stuff, and they are desperate to sweep this under the rug.
This needs to be said often and loud, in the presence of others. It needs to be stated in a non-passionate, matter-of-fact manner, but stated nonetheless and those who hear it must know that we are serious. It is long past time for civil conversation.
And yet what happened after Katrina? Citizens willingly handed them over.
Lesson learned, in the open for all to see.
I won't put it in the plural. "If you try to take my weapons, I will kill you. Then I will find whomever it was that sent you, and kill them. I will continue this course of action until I reach the end of your food chain, or I am dead."

This kind of crap underscores the need to defund NPR and let them compete in the marketplace.
What would things have been like if every Security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive?.... The [Security] Organs would very quickly have suffered a shortage of officers ... and, notwithstanding all of Stalins thirst, the cursed machine would have ground to a halt! Alexandr Solzhenitsyn
That phrase is really catchy.
Not all of them.
You want my means of self-defense? Okay. Ammo first.
I usually ask them if they are willing to give up any of the other 9 Amendments if I give up the Second? Ask if they want to join the "state" church, or be arrested for speaking ill of the President. A good one is always to ask which soldiers they want to live in the spare room at home.
I think it's time to just state bluntly that you will die trying to confiscate guns. Do you really want to push the issue? You would probably get a lesser reaction forcing everyone to a state religion than taking up 300 million guns.
MOLON LABE!
However, I feel sorry for all of the good folks in law enforcement who would get caught up in such a conflagration. "Just following orders" won't cut it...
No remorse or pity though. If you lie down with dogs, don't be surprised when you arise with fleas.
Liberals are like children. They want what they want and words and logic roll off their backs.
You owe children an apology. They can usually be reasoned with.
Actually, the guy hit upon the REASON they want to take the guns from private citizens.
The gun-controllers WANT to be able to take life, liberty, etc., from us at will, and don’t want risk being shot when they do it.
