Sounds clear enough to me.

On NPR the other day, some host danced around this question, gingerly approaching the "rumor" that ATF may have "somehow" supplied guns to drug gangs.

The guest on the show breezily dismissed such talk. It was a sting operation. Police have done such things for decades. A few items are given to bad guys to show good faith, and the end result is that lots of bad guys get arrested, and entire criminal operations are busted wide open. Happens all the time. Nothing to see here. Move along.

The host responded with so much relief it was palpable.

This is really bad stuff, and they are desperate to sweep this under the rug.

And when asked by the fellow for a “short answer” summing up his views, Vanderboegh simply answered, “If you try to take our firearms, we will kill you.” “It boils down to that”, he continues. “If you try to take our firearms (liberty, property, insert any other God-given, inalienable right) we will kill you.”

This needs to be said often and loud, in the presence of others. It needs to be stated in a non-passionate, matter-of-fact manner, but stated nonetheless and those who hear it must know that we are serious. It is long past time for civil conversation.

And yet what happened after Katrina? Citizens willingly handed them over.

If you try to take our firearms, we will kill you.”

That phrase is really catchy.

I get the same reaction while explaining that hunting isn't the reason for the Second Amendment. The nervous look you get when explaining a "Well regulated Militia" is the "Whole of the people" and it is to defend the Constitution from enemies, "Both foreign and Domestic" is really something when you put emphasis on "Domestic". Sometimes I will drag out the 3 syllables in "domestic" into 3 separate words. Also a little history lesson explaining you have "NO" Amendments without the Second Amendment will open some eyes. The government is the problem, not the guarantee of your rights. The Bill Of Rights were written to LIMIT the government, not your fellow citizen.

I usually ask them if they are willing to give up any of the other 9 Amendments if I give up the Second? Ask if they want to join the "state" church, or be arrested for speaking ill of the President. A good one is always to ask which soldiers they want to live in the spare room at home.

I think it's time to just state bluntly that you will die trying to confiscate guns. Do you really want to push the issue? You would probably get a lesser reaction forcing everyone to a state religion than taking up 300 million guns.

This is exactly the answer the NRA should have been giving all along. I joined that bunch of jokers a few years back, thinking they were thinking along these lines, then started learning the truth about them. When they then kept harrassing me for more money, I wrote a letter to Wayne La Pierre telling him I’d support them again when they drew lines in the sand and promised to back those lines with their entire membership.

Anyway, a lot of words on my part. I like better what this guy says. Even shorter, Molon Labe!

Wonderful! Its so pleasant to hear the truth spoken, something that doesn’t often happen anymore. That said, its been happening for some time now and no one on the RKBA side has fired a shot. The pols are smarter than to take them all at once. They prefer incrementalism to lull us to sleep. Will be interesting to see what the next fed gun ban brings as far as compliance esp since gun owners crave being seem as ‘law abiding’.

90% of folks, would shrug their shoulders, and hand over the guns. To think otherwise, is to pretty much ignore the history of sheep.

The biggest issue that the Left uses to justify firearms confiscation is our high rate of firearms homicide compared to places like England and Canada.

This reasoning is invalid for two reasons: first, the important factor is homicide, not firearms homicide. It doesn't matter to me if I'm killed by a bullet, a knife, or a whack over the head -- I'm dead.

Second, the US is ethnically diverse, and most of our homicides are committed by the non-European-descended segments of our population (bringing this up is something the Left will be outraged over). If you look at homicide stats internationally, you see the unsurprising pattern that US ethnic groups with high homicide rates come from places with high homicide rates.
