Why would anyone like Sarah Palin?
The Auburn Journal ^ | February 21, 2011

Posted on 02/21/2011 9:12:54 PM PST by 2ndDivisionVet

I am beginning to question myself as to why I ever liked Sarah Palin. Why would I like someone that has faith in religion? Why on earth, would I like someone that has faith in her country for crying out loud? Why would I have faith in someone with values?

Granted, there are those people out there such as Lady Gaga and Madonna to look up to, but Sarah? She didn’t enjoy being governor of Alaska, they say-thank goodness she stepped down! She didn’t want being under the microscope of the press to interfere with her job as governor! Such gall to step down after that!

She wants jobs for Americans IN America? How dare she!! She wants factories here on OUR precious soil, to create manufacturing jobs?? Not In My Back Yard she’s not! Not only that, but she actually smiles for the camera’s that hound her relentlessly! No frowny looks for the media to have a field day with! How dare she smile! How dare she make a buck off of the liberals that cannot get enough of her! She actually makes my eyes glaze over when she goes on and on about how much untouched oil America has too! Good thing we don’t have our own oil supply so the gas can climb to the sky, with all the Mid-East turmoil!

Wow, and guns-she does love those gun rights of Americans. I bet she even uses her second amendment rights and owns more than one gun, gosh darn it! And she kills animals and EATS them too! And so does her family! No going to the store for packaged meat for HER family. She actually practices what she preaches! She should take a lesson from Michelle Obama. Tell the country to eat correctly and then head to Vale, Colorado for a ski vacation on our country’s dime. And while she is there, have servings of ribs at 1500 calories per serving with 120 grams of fat. I am starting to think what a fool I have been for being so dang blind! Sheesh!!

She believes that the States should decide their own abortion laws (not the Feds)...

That's the double-edged sword with federalism and the abortion debate, isn't it?

If you believe in States' Rights, then you must, I mean MUST, desire that Roe v. Wade is overturned and the issue returns to the individual States like it was before the Roe decision.

LORD knows I hate abortion, yet it must be this way if true fidelity to the Constitution is really meant by those who browbeat others on the matter.

Can't be both ways, unless you can be a little bit pregnant. We know that dog don't hunt.

If you can't appreciate the pure beauty of the violin after hearing this, something's wrong with your ears.

"No person shall be deprived of life without due process of law."

"No State shall deprive any person of life without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws."

Even Blackmun, the author of Roe, admitted that “of course” the Fourteenth Amendment protects every fetus, if they are a person.

What say you, is the fetus, or child, a person?

Yeah, we are not SUPPOSED to like her! The government and their media tell us we shouldn’t! So we shouldn’t!

Why? Because she is STUPID! She is so stupid she didn’t go to an Ivy League school, like Obama and Clinton. They are good and smart and we are SUPPOSED to like them, no matter what they do to this country.

We will get mocked by our friends if we like someone as STUPID as Sarah. It would be like admitting you liked Ronald Reagan, or Rush Limbaugh. Really, all people on the right side of the aisle are WRONG and stupid. I guess you are allowed to like McCain, Romney, and Huckabee though.

I know when the Feds stop doing it, more babies will live. That’s a start - and a start that means life

Indeed. Made me think of Schindler's List. And he wished that he could have saved more.

Thanks man - I didn’t know if I was making any sense or not - I knew what I wanted to say - but it wouldn’t be the first time that got lost by the time fingers hit keyboard...

It's not a dog. Of course the fetus is a person.

"She quit an oath of office."

This piece of tired crap gets old. Lets look at the news of recent weeks when Ambassador Huntsmann quit his job to explore running for President in this election cycle. Previously, he was Governor Huntsmann too! and quit that job to become the Ambassador to China in a Democrat administration. SO, this two time "QUITTER" is reviled and subjected to withering criticism for betraying the public trust? or Congratulated on the bold move and his political future???? You can guess, his name after all is not Palin.

Where are your manners...say please...do not demand or shout...and you’ll get your answer

Gee, you seem pretty sensitive for a person who called folks stupid for wanting to nominate Palin.

And you want me to say "please"?? Where are your manners?

Once again:

Andrew Jackson quit from the Senate and then 2 1/2 years later he was elected president. Were the people who voted for Andrew Jackson, "stupid"?

I do trust Rasmussen and Fox News polls, both showing Palin much further behind Obama than other potential nominees.

Okay, you trust things that you can't prove and I don't.

You are certainly entitled to do that. But let the record show that you were the one calling people "delusional".

It's not a dog. Of course the fetus is a person.

Then they're protected by the explicit provisions of the Constitution, in every state in the union. Even Blackmun admitted as much.

"No person shall be deprived of life without due process of law."

"No State shall deprive any person of life without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws."

Give me, I dunno...10 examples of Palin being abrasive.

Just recently, her blood libel internet speech, which was completely unnecessary because the conservative media had pretty much exposed the liberal lies about the Arizona shootings.

And, she recently implied Rick Santorum was a "knuckle-dragging Neanderthal."

She asked John Kerry the question, "Why the long face?"

She'd make a great talk show host. But, these are the sort of comments that turn off undecideds.

Sparky obviously didn't learn his lesson on the last thread about deliberate errors of omission.

I didn't leave a thing out. I simply pointed out that Palin has no regret or remorse about being "forced" into appointing a former Planned Parenthood board member and pro-abortion justice to the Alaska Supreme Court.

Do you honestly think if he had a choice between racist judges that she wouldn't be condemning having to appoint one to the Alaska Supreme Court?

Once again, say please and you will get your answer. Making demands will get you nowhere. This is the same lesson that we are teaching our two year old.

“Here’s a clue: snidely insulting people when you’re babbling gibberish is not impressive.” he says as he snidely insults.“

The difference, of course, is that I am not babbling gibberish.

“Like most people who think like you do, you confuse and conflate rights and duties.”

Not even slightly. Your argument rests on your failure to understand that the Supreme Court stripped the states of the right to make their own laws protecting life. The states had such laws in place, and the Supreme Court said, “No, you may not make or enforce such laws. You as states and as people have no right to protect innocent life.”

It is that wrongfully, unconstitutionally stolen right that must be returned to the states, whereupon the people will do the right thing.

Get it? No, of course not. I’m done here.
