Why would anyone like Sarah Palin?
The Auburn Journal ^ | February 21, 2011

I am beginning to question myself as to why I ever liked Sarah Palin. Why would I like someone that has faith in religion? Why on earth, would I like someone that has faith in her country for crying out loud? Why would I have faith in someone with values?

Granted, there are those people out there such as Lady Gaga and Madonna to look up to, but Sarah? She didn’t enjoy being governor of Alaska, they say-thank goodness she stepped down! She didn’t want being under the microscope of the press to interfere with her job as governor! Such gall to step down after that!

She wants jobs for Americans IN America? How dare she!! She wants factories here on OUR precious soil, to create manufacturing jobs?? Not In My Back Yard she’s not! Not only that, but she actually smiles for the camera’s that hound her relentlessly! No frowny looks for the media to have a field day with! How dare she smile! How dare she make a buck off of the liberals that cannot get enough of her! She actually makes my eyes glaze over when she goes on and on about how much untouched oil America has too! Good thing we don’t have our own oil supply so the gas can climb to the sky, with all the Mid-East turmoil!

Wow, and guns-she does love those gun rights of Americans. I bet she even uses her second amendment rights and owns more than one gun, gosh darn it! And she kills animals and EATS them too! And so does her family! No going to the store for packaged meat for HER family. She actually practices what she preaches! She should take a lesson from Michelle Obama. Tell the country to eat correctly and then head to Vale, Colorado for a ski vacation on our country’s dime. And while she is there, have servings of ribs at 1500 calories per serving with 120 grams of fat. I am starting to think what a fool I have been for being so dang blind! Sheesh!!

I’ve asked plenty of liberals to explain exactly what it is they despise about Sarah. First they look at me as if I’m insane for asking such a question. ....as if no one ever asked them before (which is probably true). Then they stumble around a bit and finally blurt out “ABORTION”!!....”she’s a traitor — against a woman’s right to choose!” And of course “she’s stupid — she doesn’t even know where Russia is!” And then complaints about her alleged “inexperience.” The list can get pretty long, depending on how much propaganda they’ve been exposed to.

But it really all comes down to Sarah’s uncompromising stance on abortion. Killing the unborn is the liberals’ religion.

But it really all comes down to Sarah’s uncompromising stance on abortion.

She's pro-choice for states, and thinks the unalienable right to life can be left up to a vote. That's pretty compromised.

[ She quit an oath of office. ]

What she did was.. pull the rug out from under a strong democrat (republican aided) machine.. that had her painted into a legal corner.. Hamstringing the governorship and personal finances..

So she put the Lt. Gov. in charge (made him governor) who got the State government working again.. and handled all the spurious ethics charges filed against her.. all of which were pure bull burgers..

She was brilliant in this political tactic except for one thing.. That is addressing idiotic statements like you made above.. Which are either ignorant of "this Story" or maleficent in its character sliming her like the original spurious ethics charges..

"She quit an oath of office."

Are you obtuse or just ill-informed? We've been over this so many times and I'm bone tired of it. Alaska's laws allowed people to file bogus ethics complaints against elected officials that they have to defend with their own resources and money, not the state's. She and her family were being bankrupted. But you probably already know that since it's been hashed over again & again here on FR and you joined way back in 1999. Don't like strong women? Rooting for someone else? Think she's a"RINO" for some obscure reason? Or what is it? And what would you do when faced with a mounting debt and lawyers fees in the millions?

Let's not forget that Palin also supports the morning-after pill being legal and taxpayer funding for abortion in the case of rape and has never expressed a bit of regret for having appointed a former Planned Parenthood board member to the Alaska Supreme Court all while praising the judge in question in Going Rogue.

And, let's not forget this comment from Going Rogue where she writes she does not use "abortion... as a political litmust test. I... had never asked anyone, including the Democrats I appointed, what their position on abortion was..."

EV, there will NEVER be a constitutional amendment outlawing abortion until we change people’s hearts.

Governor Palin has the opportunity, by leading as a shining example that all life is precious, to do just that.

Your ‘all-or-nothing’ outlook is short sighted and ignorant, and will leave the pro-life movement with nothing but millions of dead babies.

You can maintain your strong beliefs while supporting an ‘all of the above’ approach to the issue if you had the ability to think your way out of a wet paper bag.

Perhaps the country needs to get to the point of universal acceptance of life incrementally. I know many many ‘pro-choice’ people who would never support an amendment to the constitution at this time. Hearts are starting to change, and today’s younger generation is more pro-life than their parents were.

Sadly for you, we don’t live in a dictatorship and we have to win people over to get their support. I know you would probably rather just throw them in jail and execute them, but that isn’t going to happen.

It takes a rare level of ignorance not to understand this.

The American people don’t like quitters and that was the choice she made and it does have consequences.

As you know, because it was discussed on one of your threads the other day, she was sent two pro-abortion candidates for that judgeship and had to pick one of those two, period. She picked the less liberal of the two, or do you perhaps have early-onset dementia or Alzheimer’s?

You mean like President Reagan?

No. President Reagan was a personhood pro-lifer, and believed that the Fourteenth Amendment protects ALL persons.

Sarah Palin's states' rights trumps unalienable rights position is IDENTICAL to Gerald R. Ford's actually.
