Why would anyone like Sarah Palin?

I am beginning to question myself as to why I ever liked Sarah Palin. Why would I like someone that has faith in religion? Why on earth, would I like someone that has faith in her country for crying out loud? Why would I have faith in someone with values?

Granted, there are those people out there such as Lady Gaga and Madonna to look up to, but Sarah? She didn’t enjoy being governor of Alaska, they say-thank goodness she stepped down! She didn’t want being under the microscope of the press to interfere with her job as governor! Such gall to step down after that!

She wants jobs for Americans IN America? How dare she!! She wants factories here on OUR precious soil, to create manufacturing jobs?? Not In My Back Yard she’s not! Not only that, but she actually smiles for the camera’s that hound her relentlessly! No frowny looks for the media to have a field day with! How dare she smile! How dare she make a buck off of the liberals that cannot get enough of her! She actually makes my eyes glaze over when she goes on and on about how much untouched oil America has too! Good thing we don’t have our own oil supply so the gas can climb to the sky, with all the Mid-East turmoil!

Wow, and guns-she does love those gun rights of Americans. I bet she even uses her second amendment rights and owns more than one gun, gosh darn it! And she kills animals and EATS them too! And so does her family! No going to the store for packaged meat for HER family. She actually practices what she preaches! She should take a lesson from Michelle Obama. Tell the country to eat correctly and then head to Vale, Colorado for a ski vacation on our country’s dime. And while she is there, have servings of ribs at 1500 calories per serving with 120 grams of fat. I am starting to think what a fool I have been for being so dang blind! Sheesh!!

It would seem that you’ve never read the Ninth Amendment, much less understood it.

“The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people.”

Not only have the people never surrendered their unalienable right to life, they could not rightfully do so. You would understand this if you understood the meaning of the word “unalienable.”

“unalienable: incapable of being repudiated or transferred to another”

You also pretend that the Fifth and the Fourteenth Amendments don’t even exist.

“No person shall be deprived of life without due process of law.”

“No State shall deprive any person of life without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.”

And the practice of child-killing violates EVERY single clause of the Constitution’s own stated purposes.

“We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.”

Huh? She thinks the right to life can be left up to the states to decide, a position that by its intrinsic nature destroys the most important premises for our form of government and our claim to liberty.

Nothing in your reply even pretends to rebut my argument that the right to prohibit baby-killing rightfully resides in the states, and the people who live in them.

Like most people who think like you do, you confuse and conflate rights and duties. Which leads you to gross misunderstanding.

States don't just have a "right" to protect all persons, they have a natural law, Constitutionally-explicit, imperative obligation to do so. They can't "choose" to ignore the first and most important reason for the very existence of their offices.

The right to keep and bear arms?

Religious liberty?

Free speech?

The right to petition government for redress of grievances?

I’m arguing against Stephen A. Douglas Democrats.

That’s what pro-choice for states, states’ rights trump unalienable rights, politicians like Sarah Palin, and John McCain, and Ron Paul, have made the Republican Party into.

It’s the utter repudiation of Lincoln/Reagan Republicanism, which is premised in the cornerstone principles of the Declaration of Independence.

LOL. You admit that you don't know if the polls are right when you say "if the polls are right".

Palin does NOT compare to Reagan. Reagan NEVER had the negatives or negative name recognition Palin has. And, Reagan was one of the best campaigners in American history. Palin's pit bull personality turns off independents and undecideds. She is too abrasive to ever have mass appeal.

And then you admit it again.

Andrew Jackson quit from the Senate and then 2 1/2 years later he was elected president. I've pointed this out numerous times to you and you ignore it. Now, were the people who voted for and elected Andrew Jackson, "stupid"? Answer the question.

What? The judge in question was a former Planned Parenthood board member.

If you're a pro-lifer that would be a problem since PP is the largest abortion provider in the nation.

If Palin will praise a judge like Morgan Christen, she can't be trusted to do the right thing and appoint a justice to the Supreme Court that will overturn Roe. If it is politically expedient, she will sell out on the issue.

I do trust Rasmussen and Fox News polls, both showing Palin much further behind Obama than other potential nominees.

Many here was telling us the polls in Delaware were wrong and Christine O'Donnell would come back and at least make the race competition. How did that work out?

Like it or not, Palin is tainted candidate and someone with abrasive personality that can't keep her mouth shut when it is wise to do so.

And FWIW....I think Sarah Palin is a lightening rod ( IMO, not of her doing, though...)....and probably not the right POTUS candidate in 2012.

The obligation of all, at every level, in every branch, is to protect the unalienable rights of the people, starting with the right to life.

There is no greater offense against the oath of office than to rule or act against the right to life of the innocent person. All who even speak in favor of the killing of innocent human beings - in breach of their obligation to protect the God-given rights of the people - should be removed from office by the most expedient constitutional means.
