Diversity: The Dumbest Idea Ever? Part I, Part II, Part III, Part IV, Part V

Sorry for the mass post, but I felt this idea important enough, and put in a new way, that all here would be interested. Please read all five parts and please comment on the last. Excerpt follows (limited to 300 words).

How about "sexual orientation"? Should our list of diverse behaviors include necrophiliacs and pedophiles? Say no and once more you invoke arbitrary rules. Say no and you admit that diversity is not desirable. Say no and you deny that "human qualities that are different from our own and those of groups to which we belong" should sometimes be shunned. If you say no, you admit of moral absolutes.

Ann Coulter said it best:

Diversity is an OBSTACLE TO BE OVERCOME, not a Goal to be achieved.

Ann Coulter understands what is going on in our culture.

Diversity was used to put cultural Marxism into the media and school systems to destroy America. The purpose: to indoctrinate into believing all cultures are equal. America is evil and oppressive and not exceptional.

Cultural Marxist ideology was formed to destroy Christian Western Civilization. All political correctness comes from that ideology to bring us to our knees because we and Israel are the only two countries left now. Marxism has destroyed the unity and strength of Europe....now it is our turn because we (our Constitution not bambi) stand in the way of a One World Government.

Dumbest idea ever? What, are you kidding? It’s been wildly successful for for the left and all enemies of liberty.

Years ago, Michael Savage had a shtick where he extolled the virtues of cannibals. Anyone who did not tolerate their lifestyle was a hate-filled bigot. Who was anyone to judge them? Of course, he was taking diversity to its logical extreme to expose its absurdity. It was one of the funniest bits I've ever heard on radio.

Diversity will be the downfall of American business and ruin America’s economic engine.

Think about it. Companies waste money on diversity consultants and get cornered into hiring people based on diversity quotas rather than ability/experience.

So you might have this small business that you have shares of stock in that’s performing like a locamotive and then, the company hires on a diversity candidate and then revenue takes a nosedive or slips. And that new employee is not fired for fear of discrimatory lawsuits. Japanese companies and Russian companies don’t have to worry about ridiculous stuff like this.

Seems to me that diversity is the opposite of unity.

Seems to me that diversity is the opposite of unity.

And it seems to me that mindless unity is what drives herds of lemmings over cliffs.

"Different" isn't necessarily right, but it's also not necessarily wrong.

And then there's the question of what to do about those with whom you disagree. Do you just cut to the chase and throw them in jail?

Logically, diversity ‘should’ be a celebration of cultural differences on their way to assimilation or ones that have already achieved assimiliation: if either of these were true there’d be no need for ‘diversity’ the way it’s now practiced, which is the celebration of a whole spectrum of cultural identities AS IF they were the substitute for AMERICAN identity-—these disparate identities are designed to overwhelm and redefine American identity, or at least keep a true American identity in a state of flux where it’s always questioned and challenged. It’s a miracle we can still summon enough people to commit to the ultimate sacrifice, like going to war to fight our enemies, which pretty much requuires that you need a sense of your identity as an “American” from the get-go.

Diversity training is directed towards white, (especially Christian) males. Nobody else.

“Hey Mr. Jones, I’m entitled to something of yours even though I didn’t work for it, so learn to *tolerate* my taking it from you.”

That’s it in a nutshell.

Long read but worth it...

The Path to National Suicide by Lawrence Auster (1990)

An essay on multi-culturalism and immigration.

Click the Pic!!!!

Excerpt....

How can we account for this remarkable silence? The answer, as I will try to show, is that when the Immigration Reform Act of 1965 was being considered in Congress, the demographic impact of the bill was misunderstood and downplayed by its sponsors. As a result, the subject of population change was never seriously examined. The lawmakers’ stated intention was that the Act should not radically transform America’s ethnic character; indeed, it was taken for granted by liberals such as Robert Kennedy that it was in the nation’s interest to avoid such a change. But the dramatic ethnic transformation that has actually occurred as a result of the 1965 Act has insensibly led to acceptance of that transformation in the form of a new, multicultural vision of American society. Dominating the media and the schools, ritualistically echoed by every politician, enforced in every public institution, this orthodoxy now forbids public criticism of the new path the country has taken. “We are a nation of immigrants,” we tell ourselves— and the subject is closed. The consequences of this code of silence are bizarre. One can listen to statesmen and philosophers agonize over the multitudinous causes of our decline, and not hear a single word about the massive immigration from the Third World and the resulting social divisions. Opponents of population growth, whose crusade began in the 1960s out of a concern about the growth rate among resident Americans and its effects on the environment and the quality of life, now studiously ignore the question of immigration, which accounts for fully half of our population growth.

This curious inhibition stems, of course, from a paralyzing fear of the charge of “racism.” The very manner in which the issue is framed—as a matter of equal rights and the blessings of diversity on one side, versus “racism” on the other—tends to cut off all rational discourse on the subject. One can only wonder what would happen if the proponents of open immigration allowed the issue to be discussed, not as a moralistic dichotomy, but in terms of its real consequences. Instead of saying: “We believe in the equal and unlimited right of all people to immigrate to the U.S. and enrich our land with their diversity,” what if they said: “We believe in an immigration policy which must result in a staggering increase in our population, a revolution in our culture and way of life, and the gradual submergence of our current population by Hispanic and Caribbean and Asian peoples.” Such frankness would open up an honest debate between those who favor a radical change in America’s ethnic and cultural identity and those who think this nation should preserve its way of life and its predominant, European-American character. That is the actual choice—as distinct from the theoretical choice between “equality” and “racism”—that our nation faces. But the tyranny of silence has prevented the American people from freely making that choice.

That’s because they have been paid off or they are involved. Most of the money earmarked for bills going into Congress, their friends and families pockets.

They are a bunch of thieves. When they start prosecuting the thieves for real making them accountable; we will get someone.

“Diversity” is merely a rationale used by multiculturalists to justify promoting themselves. It is all about increasing their numbers and president.

We got the first female House speaker and the first black president. Oh ... and the first Latina on the Supreme Court, too.

“Historic” victories. I’m overjoyed with this government that has served us so well these past two years!
