I received a call from a person who is trying to provide awareness for this bill, HR-5741. This bill will give Obama complete power over all draft age persons 18-45 My question is, do you think this is a valid concern when the Senate votes on this after the elections perhaps during the holidays I am also sending this to many candidates to help me understand if this could be passed as a part of the lame duck after the election. Would the senate really enrage the people and pass this in a lame duck. I am looking for input as to whether I forward to everyone, as I think this would really upset people. And I want to make sure that this is a valid concern. In breif this is what power would be given to the president:

It must be stopped cold. We must demand no lame duck laws except one, the Bush tax cut extension. Just one!
No Repub lead congress will put forth that draft bill, so no lame duck laws at all. If they do, a BIG Tea Party must be had on the Mall with pitch forks and torches.

Didn’t Jughead tell us that he wanted a standing homeland army, at least as well funded and organized as our military?

How else is he supposed to realize his dream? You can’t depend on elections, there is a chance that the counts will actually reflect the people’s will.

•To draft all persons – everyone from the ages of 18-42 to serve in some capacity for 2 years for the government

That should take a bite out of the high unemployment figures ;-)

What, would they expect some 40 yr. old guy with a steady career and a family to drop his job and join the Obama red-guard?

It can't pass. I don't believe it can pass.

Conscription ages were 18 to 26 during the last years of the active Draft during the closing days of the Vietnam era—with 19 year olds inducted first.

When did it extend to 45?

The skulls-full-of-mush that voted for zero would certainly get change that they didn’t count on.

Nothing builds character like a couple of years of slavery on the Democrat Plantation.

I don’t think it did change...the change would be part of the bill proposes. At least that’s how I understand it.

Re: Conscription. I realize the draft isn’t presently being used. However, males reaching their 18th birthday are required to register. A question arises. How come females aren’t required to register? Isn’t this gender discrimination?

It’s one thing to require only males to register but quite another thing to draft only males into a non-military service in peacetime. Both are unconstitutional IMHO but the latter would surely be challenged and cause a real mess.

It sure is interesting that the so-called antiwar Democrats are the only ones who run their mouths about re-instituting the draft.

Do any of their glassy-eyed, mindless voters notice? Never mind, forget I even asked such a stupid question.

I'm two years beyond Urkel's conscription age, but he can still kiss my sweet Teutonic ass. So can Cholly Rangel. These cretins actually seem to think that they can order the general population to march in lockstep in every aspect of their existence. Removing them from office is only a start - we need to prefer civil and criminal charges by the MILLIONS and lock them away in an asylum for the criminally insane. And weld the gates shut. I'm serious - how about 75 or 100 million people filing felony theft and harassment charges against their asses?

"But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: for men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away, for his name is Obama."
