When did it extend to 45?
I don’t think it did change...the change would be part of the bill proposes. At least that’s how I understand it.
Re: Conscription. I realize the draft isn’t presently being used. However, males reaching their 18th birthday are required to register. A question arises. How come females aren’t required to register? Isn’t this gender discrimination?
I believe WW II they raised it to 45, because they were running out of men.
As I recall, when I left the Army in the Seventies, I was “assigned” to a reserve group until age 45, subject to being recalled in time of need. Never heard another word about it.
Seems like 18-45 would likely be considered the age range of suitable conscripts if it became necessary.
The militia has been defined as able bodied men 18-45 since the Constituton was written.
“When did it extend to 45?”
In WW-2.
My uncle was drafted when he was 44 in 1941.
for that great a year-range, this Bloody Kenyan is using the range set for ‘enlistment’ in the all-volunteer military forces. In the olden days, it was 18 - 35. So this Bloody Kenyan wishes to have control over every male of age that can contribute, before reaching the earliest age of retirement, for the old financial or medical years. If this passes, this bloody Kenyan will have the final say of every American, including placing them into ‘service’, possibly being part of this Bloody Kenyan’s dreamt-about secret police.
Americans, if there is one firearm sitting on a shelf in a sporting goods store, a membership store, a pawn shop, that is one too many NOT in the hands of a law-biding American, and not a THUG, of this Bloody Kenyan! Oh, don’t forget about “the care and feeding” of those little machines, either! Whether we may need them to keep our homes safe, when this bloody Kenyan shuts off the food supply, or (I hope NOT, for real), when the order comes ... “Dress RIGHT!” (you who have comprehension skills, know that to which I refer).
