Sarah Palin’s confusing tweet (more inanity)

In a tweet Wednesday, former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin suggested that Laura Schlessinger may have had her First Amendment rights violated in the controversy surrounding the conservative talk show hosts repeated use of the n-word.
The tweet reads: Dr.Laura:dont retreat
reload! (Steps aside bc her 1st Amend.rights ceased 2exist thx 2activists trying 2silenceisnt American, not fair)
The former governors response is a little confusing, and not just because of her mangled syntax and excessive use of abbreviations. In February, Palin asked the White House to fire Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel over his use of the word retarded. She has also joined the chorus opposing the Ground Zero Mosque. Since she was not in office during either incident, is she not an activist trying to silence individuals and stifle their First Amendment rights?
What Palin apparently doesnt realize is that the First Amendment is a two-way street. Yes, you can express yourself, but you shouldnt cry wolf when somebody disagrees with what you or tells you to be quiet.

No she is not. Based on what you made her the best shot for us? Because a bunch of bloggers on Free Republic said so?

The words are used differently, and Dr. Laura is not a public official. Here is the Rahm Emmanuel Quotation:
."Some attendees said they were planning to air ads attacking conservative Democrats who were balking at Mr. Obama's health-care overhaul. 'Fing retarded,'
Dr. Laura Quotation:
SCHLESSINGER: Black guys use it all the time. Turn on HBO, listen to a black comic, and all you hear is n-----, n-----, n-----.
[...]
CALLER: It's OK to say that word?
SCHLESSINGER: It depends how it's said.
(There is more, but it is along the same lines).
It DOES make a difference that Emmanuel called someone the word, meaning it as an epithet, while Dr. Laura was mainly describing how other people use the word, and didn't call anyone by it. She did repeat it, many more times. Unlike black comedians, she did not use an f-bomb as a modifier. The same cannot be said for Emmanuel. It can also be noted that Emmanuel's noted was meant for limited consumption, while Dr. Laura's response was aired on many radio stations, and meant to be heard.
Based on all that, I can see perfectly consistent people taking any of four positions. Both are offensive; neither are offensive; Emmanuel is offensive and Dr. Laura isn't; Dr. Laura is offensive and Emmanuel isn't.
There are a bunch of other arguments that can be brought in (the mentally handicapped cannot really defend themselves so well against such terms... whether n----- is offensive seems to depend on who says it, etc.)
For my part, I didn't see Emmanuel's semi-private note as a hanging offense, but I don't find Palin incocsistent if she finds one objectionable and the other not.

Ah: Pissant and his daily obsession with Sarah Palin.
And how are you going to dress up your life-size inflatable Sarah Palin doll tonight, Pissant? In a baby doll?
Just like with Obama, Sarah Palin lives rent free in Pissant’s head. What a loser!!!

If this is what she wrote, then it appears neither Palin or this writer understand the 1st Amendment.
The 1st Amendment prohibits GOVERNMENT from abridging free speech or free excercise of religion. Unless or until a GOVERNMENT ENTITY tries to inhibit or prohibit free speech, there is no Constitutional issue.
As far as I know, no government entity tried to thwart ‘Dr. Laura’s’ free speech. This is just like the Dixie Chicks and Tim Robbins claims that boycotting them constitutes a breach of their 1st Amendment rights.
Not_A_Constitutional_Issue
(I hope this is not true. I would have hoped Sarah Palin would not fall into this ignorance trap about the 1st Amendment).

Is this pissant really the type of person you are comfortable speaking with?
If I were you I'd be careful about divulging any personal info to him.
...unless of course you wouldn't mind a psychopath looking in your windows at night.

Pissant is taking his marching orders to slander Mrs. Palin from any and all liberal dirtbags with anti-conservatives values.
I wonder - like so many others - what mean and ugly things that mean and ugly women did to poor pissy as a child.

From what I’ve seen “tweets” are leading us into grammatical armageddon!
In forty years I don’t think anyone will know how to spell. But God bless Sarah, she’s breaking new ground.
Don’t know if I like it or not, but she’s breaking it. Besides, in forty years my generation won’t be running the thing.
