I’m not buying insurance. If they put me in prison for not paying the fine, when I get out I’m still not going to buy insurance.
I don't think voting works anymore. But I could be wrong.
I’ve been on disability since the end of 2007. Since then, I’ve been undergoing rehab in an effort to return to work.
But ever since Obama was elected, I’ve had this nagging feeling that maybe I’d be better off not trying to go back to work. This is so against the way I was brought up and so foreign to my personality. It would also be unfair to those who do toil to make a few dollars to provide for themselves and their families. But I can’t shake the feeling that working would be useless. What with so-called health care reform and perhaps the upcoming Cap & Tax and other programs, every dollar I make would be going to the government...and ultimately to some other shlub who just doesn’t feel like working. So why not be one of those shlubs and stay home?
Given that I was raised to work hard and make my own way in this world, I will probably still make every effort to go back to work, but I have decided that if it turns out I can’t work, I am not going to feel guilty about it. This is what Obzma and his henchmen will have wrought. People just won’t give a dammmm. Productivity will be reduced or eliminated. Then watch the economy go all to hell.
You’re not alone Madame. I will refuse also.
In which case you will be sent to prison.
Which means you will have access to the best health care known to man.
Weird how these things work.
Isn't just like Broccoli to stick his big foot into our private Christmas? The guy's an attention hog! I hope it didn't ruin yours.
Republicans zealously and nearly unanimously helped Democrats to violate the constitutional rights of many others on quite a few occasions. Anti-family feminist legislation (social programs, the anti-Second-Amendment VAWA, divorce industry, hiring policies,...), dismantling of judicial requirements for full bodies of evidence, anti-American trade policies, anti-defense policies,...
The same favored constituents control the politicians in both political parties. Avoid buying anything that you don’t need, and become more independent each month. Despise and disrespect the political dog and pony shows owned by the oligarchs.
Here’s the problem. Under this law, the IRS will just go into your bank account and take the money.
And if the government levies a fine, I will not pay it
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
They will collect the same way the IRS collects back taxes.
Well, when scu&bags get elected, and not a soul believes they’re scu&bags, then they behave like the scu&bags they are and then the electorate, who voted for them, can not believe that they are the scu&bags that they are. (And with the help of a willing, revolutionary press, it becomes
President Bush’s fault, dontcha know and the scu&bags that got elected are no longer scu&bags, see?
IMHO
A worthy sentiment to be sure. Just don't plan on ever having a bank account again that the government can tap into, or any assets they can put a lien on.

I think it was the utopian 19th century utopian novel `Looking Backward’ by Edward Bellamy that used the example of the wagon, some pulling and some riding.
Irony is that it was socialist propaganda, but as more of those in the traces pulling the wagon saw fewer pulling and more climbing on, eventually the ride ended.
I’ve worked hard since I was 15. My first job was breaking down boxes and cleaning shopping carts. Now that I’m a professional, in my mid-50s and maybe in my peak earning years, I still plan on semi-retirement, more bartering for services, more leisure time, older cars, etc. I won’t turn the wheel for the socialists and their dependants.
Let us know what prison they’ve got you in.
Ditto. Political Prisoner.
Live free or die!
Welcome to the party, pal!
Too many people missing the obvious on this thread.
