I've Had Enough!

I have been a law-abiding citizen all my life. I've always played by the rules. That is about to change. The early morning passage yesterday of the Senate health care bill requires every American to purchase health insurance. I refuse. I will not abide by this bill if it is passed into law. And if the government levies a fine, I will not pay it. I've had enough.
There comes a time when a line in the sand must be drawn. I've just drawn mine. I've listened to the outright lies our politicians have spouted in order to pass this legislation, which, by the way, has nothing to do with health care and everything to do with government control.
Democrats declared this bill was deficit neutral. Not so, says the Congressional Budget Office. Alas, this wasn't reported until minutes after the bill passed the Senate
Dems say this bill will allow an additional 30 million people to be covered while not affecting prices. Helloo....this goes contrary to the very basic law of supply and demand.
I've had enough of the back door deals, the outright bribes, the lies, the rush, and the absolute arrogance of our elected officials who patronizingly tell me with a straight face that black is white and if I questions their wisdom, why I must be a loony tea-bagger who doesn't believe in the rule of gravity. Enough!!

I had an uncle who did that. He lived in a two bedroom bungalow, cut “rich” people’s lawns, plowed their snow, and raked their leaves. Customers used to give him gifts of food and small amounts of cash during the holidays. Little did they know he had in excess of seven million dollars back in 1974. He and his wife put all their kids thru private schools and paid cash. His children were equally as prudent in their display of wealth.

That is because they were "taking" from the producers in an expanding economy. Now if you are going to "take" from a shrinking stock of producers in a contracting economy, all the while replacing their numbers with negative producers(those who receive government subsidies), you create an entire market collapse. Right now, the town I live in is selling homes at 20% of the price paid five years ago. The bank owned empty home rate is around 16%. The unpaid taxes on the properties is killing the county, schools, and state. Nobody can qualify for mortgages or car loans anymore. The town's only car dealer closed up shop because he couldn't sell any cars to the people of the area. A coworker of mine had a choice to abandon his home he had bought and had a $125,000 mortgage on back in 2001, in order to buy a similar home for $36,000 cash owed to a bank on a defaulted forclosed mortgage. He decided to take the hit on his credit and pay cash for the house and walk out on his original.
Ask yourself how the ruling class insiders live in countries that are total communist dictatorships.

It seems the best way to go on this is for States to pass
nullification laws as per The Tenth Amendment. Also, I assume
that legal suits will be filed re: the constitutionality
of this abomination.

The govt. cant lock up hundreds of thousands of people for not paying a fine. Why would they do that? It's much easier (and lucrative) to have the IRS simply garnish your wages.

They’ll tax you for it, then charge you a premium to underwrite that.

A very good point. We however are a developed and armed populace. Even the very poor have a good life. The inventory of “stuff” is just too obscene to create an insider elite class. Now if they start bulldozing 60% of the single family homes in the country and move the masses into soviet style housing blocks, that’s different.

And if it wasnt for the sex, being gay wouldnt be all that bad...Sure, spending an hour with the women has its short term influence over me, but a lifetime of seeing them in the larger total picture has me choosing the mancave instead. Women are very unsettled creatures. Their wants, choices, needs, and goals in life are at best amorphous and at worst, chaotic inconsistancies driven entirely by emotion, changing daily."
Heh.

“However I’ve already told my family that I will not comply with this ‘law’ under any circumstances. Nor will I pay any fine or spend a single second inside of a jail cell.
I’ll die before I comply.”
I have your back. I’m not terribly impressed with people who say they will resist this “law” if it means going to jail. I will hold any jackboot thug attempting to round me up responsible for his decision to serve an illegal master.

Since a serious accident or illness can bankrupt most anyone, every reasonable person should have already been purchasing insurance on their own — without gov’t. influence. By the way, having everyone in the insurance pool makes insurance more affordable for everyone and would make it financially viable for insurance companies to cover pre- existing conditions and not drop anyone for any reason. But, it you want to sit around and gripe about it, go ahead —it's your right.

We now have a complex, electronic, networked society. That means the government can garnish your wages. reach into your bank account, ruin your credit score, and punish you financially in other ways as well. It's very hard to hide from Uncle Sam -- he'll make you pay for your trangressions, one way or another.
Which is precisely why I think violent uprising against the government is the one and only option. Note: Peaceful secession by one or more states is the correct first step. But if Uncle Sam doesn't "take No for an answer" then We The People have no other tool in the toolbox other than violence. The government made that decision for us when they tainted the election process and turned our "representative" system of government into a joke.

"My kid can shoot your honor student, 500 yards out too!" You sir, are an artist.
An artist destined for a police stop, but an artist none the less.
Frowning takes 68 muscles.
Smiling takes 6.
Pulling this trigger takes 2.
I'm lazy.

There will come a time in the very near future where a democrat will have to ride in an convoy in order to have a reasonable chance of survival.
I welcome that time.

However I've already told my family that I will not comply with this 'law' under any circumstances. Nor will I pay any fine or spend a single second inside of a jail cell. I'll die before I comply. Yeah, and purposely going without health insurance will ensure you die quicker. Not the right move dude.

Heh. No Sale! I think making steel castings and cutting parts are good hobbies. LOL! Defaults, no revenues, smaller government. See how that works out?
