...why I must be a loony tea-bagger who doesn't believe in the rule of gravity. Enough!! I've had enough too. I've had it with this foul nickname being applied to the good folks who make up the TEA Parties.

Any imposed fines for not purchasing insurance should be resisted and not payed. The govt. can’t lock up hundreds of thousands of people for not paying a fine. There’s no room left in the prisons.

Democrats declared this bill was deficit neutral. Not so, says the Congressional Budget Office. Alas, this wasn't reported until minutes after the bill passed the Senate Anyone with a pulse and basic math skills knew there was no way this wouldn't bust the budget. You shouldn't need the CBO to tell you and anyone who claims they didn't know this is an out and out liar.

Don’t worry. Conservative news sources say the health bill breaks many constitutional amendments and states will sue the government if it is passed.

"And if the government levies a fine, I will not pay it." The govt enforces their collection of taxes and fines with guns. How are you going to stop them?

We must show absolutely no fear of going to the detention camps, federal prisons or wherever non compliant protesters are being led to.
If they want to confiscate something I own I will gladly haul my truck down to a federal office ahead of time, in a compact easy to store compressed cube of steel.
If they want my home I will burn it down.
I will not stop finding ways to give them NOTHING, and to make them work harder with a more drain on their resources trying to track down any assets they think I have.
I will salt the earth ahead of them.

It looks like we are going to stand up and be counted....something I never thought I would have to do. Civil disobedience is painful, embarrassing, and costly. As I contemplate what it will really mean to be in in handcuffs, in court, perhaps in jail I see how our forefathers (and mothers) felt breaking with the king, standing up to dictators, and/or throwing off racial oppressors.
Here we are again. It is nearly time to sweat some blood for principle.

It’s time for a national strike like they do in France and other euro countries. Perhaps a week long walkout by all the producers in the U.S. Dems and Libs could stay on the job because they by and large don’t produce sh!t anyway.

Better get used to it. Now its passed it will be almost impossible to repeal...

And if the government levies a fine, I will not pay it. Unfortunately, the gov't knows there will hundreds of thousands of us who would opt for this - that is why they have set the IRS up as the collection agency. They will take it out of your pay or your social security -

Easily enough done. I read somewhere that the Senate language specifically bars the IRS from doing anything beyond nagging you about those fines. That may change later, but Obama would rather let the deficit grow than scare off the sheeple at this stage. Must first build a strong corral.
To: Starman417
the Senate health care bill requires every American to purchase health insurance. I refuse. There is a way out for the author, Nancy Morgan. She can claim one of the proposed exemptions, most of them religion-based. Of course, she would then run the risk of landing in the ER with a long list of procedures and treatments that she is willing to undergo, but there's a trade-off for everything.
