Any imposed fines for not purchasing insurance should be resisted and not payed. The govt. can’t lock up hundreds of thousands of people for not paying a fine. There’s no room left in the prisons.

How about...”we’ll buy insurance when the Congress buys theirs (from the same public companies at the same public rates).

:)

I look at it this way...
I don’t pay for health care, they send me to prison. There I get free health care, free food, free shelter, free clothing, and a free security system!

I don't know what the procedure will be for collecting the fines, but I have a feeling that if you don't pay the fine then the amount will be garnished from your paycheck, much like back child support. If it's garnished from your paycheck, I suspect it will affect your credit score.

Again: This is just my guess.

I think I read somewhere that in the House version they want some sort of authority to pry into your bank accounts, not to mention your medical records.

THAT is how the premiums will be paid in the event that the taxpayer fails to do so.

We really must push the State’s Attorney Generals to take the passage of this HC bill the Supreme Court.

"hundreds of thousands of people.."

Hundreds of thousands of people can do much, but won't. You're dreaming. It's not going to happen.

Those bastards will find a way to get your money. They deduct social security and medicare from your salary, and there’s nothing you can do about it. They’ll deduct for health insurance if you’re working. Non workers will have no money to pay for the insurance so they’ll tax those who are working to buy insurance for the non-working.

So what? The feds will simply take money from your personal accounts. It’s in the TARP Bill.

It seems the best way to go on this is for States to pass
nullification laws as per The Tenth Amendment. Also, I assume
that legal suits will be filed re: the constitutionality
of this abomination.

Why would they do that? It's much easier (and lucrative) to have the IRS simply garnish your wages.
