New Obama Military Rules of Engagement:, Don’t shoot back
Backpacker ^ | Jul. 04 2009

Recently on ABC television news, one of their videos showed a U.S. Marine hunkered down in Afghanistan complaining on camera that he was not allowed to shoot back when under fire. This situation resulted from Obama’s new rules of engagement from his new Afghanistan commander. General McChrystal explained it to BBC news that they are now advising troops to break off from firefights with the Taliban, "If you are in a situation where you are under fire from the enemy... if there is any chance of creating civilian casualties or if you don't know whether you will create civilian casualties, if you can withdraw from that situation without firing, then you must do so”

I honestly think he’s not clueless at all.

His ROE and the dithering on more troops is deliberate.

Like everything else he’s doing, the goal is to weaken us as a nation, to sap us of our resolve and ultimately our freedom.

He knows exactly what he’s doing.

I am concerned that Obama is delaying acting on Afghanistan until his return 19 Nov.

He meets with Russian President Dimitry Medvedev 15 Nov; Chinese President Hu Jintao 16 Nov; Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao 18 Nov.

He will do all of that before he acts on Afghanistan.

Helpful Michail Gorbachev advises he leave Afghanistan.

...or die trying.

Astounding.

If what he says about General McChrystal is true, we have another Wesley Clark and his ilk advising on policy.

We are back to a 9/10 mentality.

You may well be right. I guess I just find it hard to believe someone like that could be elected as president.

The more things that happen like this the more likely you’re right. The scariest thing is that if that’s the case look at all the people he’s surrounded himself with that have to know it.

“GIs Told Not to Risk Civilian Lives”

KABUL — Beginning today, American Soldiers in Afghanistan will be under orders to back down when they’re chasing Taliban fighters whenever they think that civilians might be at risk.

Army Gen. Stanley McChrystal, the top commander in Afghanistan, will issue the directive as part of an effort to cut down on civilian casualties, which have enraged the Afghan government and residents. Instead of calling in air support or firing into civilian homes where Taliban fighters have sought refuge, commanders will be instructed to reach out to tribal elders or undertake other efforts to dislodge the fighters.

The order is consistent with what national security adviser James L. Jones told McClatchy Newspapers in Washington Wednesday was President Barack Obama’s concern about civilian casualties in Afghanistan.

“General McChrystal has been given instructions when he left here that, in all military operations, that we redouble our efforts to make sure that innocent loss of life is minimized, with zero being the goal,” Jones said, noting that, “In one mishap you can create thousands more terrorists than you had before the mishap.”

The new order, however, is likely to draw criticism from some U.S. troops, many of whom feel the rules that govern how they fight the war already are too restrictive.

Many troops here say they depend on air power and heavy weaponry because there aren’t enough ground troops to chase Taliban forces on foot. Jones said no additional ground troops will be sent this year, even though some ground commanders want them.

“Everybody had their day in court, so to speak, before the president made his decision,” he said. “We signed off on the strategy, and now we’re in the implementation phase...”

That’s why he can’t look them in the eye. His only goal is to save Muslim lives and stay in office. He is and always has been Muslim. That’s clear. That’s why the Natural Born clause exists only for the President. No divided loyalties. This usurper was sent to destroy this country. The question is, does he succeed?

The people he surrounds himself with are all marxists and do not like America either. It is probably why he has appointed most of his close allies as czars. They did not need to be confirmed and therefore most of the public never really got to know how radical they really are.

He has a whole shadow government. I think he acted strange the day of the murders because in his heart he doesn’t care. My impression is that he does not care for the military or the American people. Whether he is a U.S. citizen or not, his loyalties are not to our country. This is only my opinion, but all his actions support my theory.

I wholeheartedly agree with you. These are my thoughts exactly. Every action he has taken has served to hurt the American people not help them. He is kinder to the terrorists and our enemies than he is to us or our allies.

Truthfully, every action of his has shown him to be an enemy of the American people, not a friend.

>When you are at war with an enemy and your president is a member of the enemy group... then he will execute a war to kill as many of “his” enemies (American Troops) as he can. We are at war with a death cult and I am worse than the terrorists to our government... for just stating the obvious truth.<

Someone said something like this over at the tinfoil site.

That zero was sending our military to be cannon fodder overseas and was planning to have other personnel to deal with the dissident types here at home.

Doesn’t seem too far out of the realm, does it?

It’s obvious tha 0bama is waiting for some event in Afgan. to break against us so he will have an excuse for leaving. It’s time for military personnel to go Galt. If you’re up for re-enlistment, dont. If you’re thinking about enlisting, don’t. There’s no sense in being killed in kabuki play put on by 0bama so he can claim that he is fighting ‘man-caused disasters.’

Now, just watch. When a soldier shoots back, he will be called up for investigation and tried for war crimes.

We are seeing the power of a muslim in the highest office in the land.

How long before we realize we have been snookered, sold out and that the mideast and the muslims control our government now. It is obvious day by day.

Just imagine - how would a muslim in office act to convert and subvert the U.S.A.?

Casualties will go up and he will declare the war unwinable and bring the army home with its tail between its legs.
