For almost two and a half centuries, countless Americans have voluntarily served and died to uphold and defend the principles of the US Constitution. Throughout history; from the battles over the original 13 Colonies, to the beaches of Normandy, to the sands of Iraq and Afghanistan; millions of Americans have risked life and limb to ensure the continued survival of America. It is because of their continued sacrifice that our constitutional republic is the envy of the entire world, notwithstanding liberal Baby-Boomers, who, along with terrorists and rogue dictatorships, have grown up to hate it.
The three main tenets of our Constitution are that 1). Power flows to the government from the people; 2). that those people, in turn, receive their rights and power from their Creator; and 3). that powers not specifically delegated to the federal government through the US Constitution are expressly reserved for the people and their respective states, led by duly elected governors and legislative assemblies.
But in spite of that history, liberals are now on the attack. Sensing their best opportunity to finally topple what they perceive as the unfair capitalist system in favor of a socialist dictatorship, with the help of unwitting guilty Republicans, liberals throughout government, academia and the media are attacking the very foundations of our nation. Our Constitution is now under withering assault ......

I've long wondered on that question myself. The theory I came up with a long time ago is this... Their parents were born or were youngsters during the privation of the Depression and then came of age during a world-shaking war. Having grown up in times of great want and upheaval -- and then starting their own families in the relatively lush and prosperous post-war era -- they wanted their kids to have a better life, so those kids were spoiled, given everything they wanted, and never had to experience the poverty and misery of their parents. They never had to work as hard for the basics, either -- so they grew up with somewhat of a sense of entitlement.
There's more to it, and I haven't explained it very well ... but that's my theory.

I think the communist were more committed in their efforts to take over our higher education and media, than we as conservatives were to fight them. We have a long road to travel to catch up, educate and change minds back to the conservative way of thinking.
The libs are continually burning the bridges behind them as we try to overtake them on that road. Barry and friends are doing so much damage right now that there may not be a road and we will have to trodge through weeds, mud, rock and Bushes to catch and beat them. I think we have a lot of sacrifice in our future.

It was the Viet Nam War. Too many went into college to hide from the draft, where they were indoctrinated and seduced to the left. And the term seduced is not a mistake. A lot of guys went left to get laid during the “Great Sexual Revolution”.

They all have perfect teeth, so maybe.
OK, on a more serious note: yea, the Constitution is pretty much a dead letter. Only clingers like those of us here at FR give it any mind.
The people have figured out they can vote themsleves welfare and are doing so at a faster and faster rate.

You can look at the education system. A lot of liberals used college deferments to avoid the draft and then stayed at the colleges as professors. They spread their own version of politics to the students.
You also have the fact that over 40% of Americans don't pay income tax. They use the benefits of the system without paying into it. They don't care how much the government spends or what they spend it on as long as they get their "tax rebate", welfare check, food stamps, education benefits, HUD Housing, etc.

One big rhetorical question I have is : Why the sudden interest in Disarming the Law-abiding?
Clearly, it does nothing to diminish the crime rate And I can bet dollars to donuts that the recent increase in the sales of firearms will show a corresponding decrease in crime.
So what else to the leftists have as AN EXCUSE to go after guns?

“I think the communist were more committed in their efforts to take over our higher education and media, than we as conservatives were to fight them. We have a long road to travel to catch up, educate and change minds back to the conservative way of thinking.”
Conservatives tend to be honest, have integrity, and play by the rules. Liberals, especially “progressives” took full advantage of this. Combine this with the takeover of the media by “progressives” under the Roosevelt revolution during the depression and WWII, and you have today's result.
