... It seems to me and a lot of other folks that we might label the current bunch of bozos in Congress the Know-Nothing Party because, Democrat or Republican, they have reached a point at which they can be stampeded into voting for the expenditure of huge amounts of money without a clue why or to whom.
Now it appears they are getting ready to stimulate the economy with a giant, political grab-bag in excess of a trillion dollars. Much like earlier efforts, it is likely to fail while at the same time plunging the nation into deeper and deeper debt. At some point, the U.S. dollar may come to resemble its counterpart from Zimbabwe, a million of which we buy you a loaf of bread. Meanwhile, Speaker Pelosi cannot wait to repeal the tax cuts, but tax cuts are known to every economist as the best way to respond to a recession.
A recent Rasmussen poll revealed that Just 37% of Americans are even somewhat confident that their political leaders know what theyre doing as they try to address the nations economic problems.
Very close to 60% lack confidence in the current crop of elected leaders, including 20% who say they are not at all confident that policymakers know what they are doing with regards to the troubled U.S. economy.
Need it be said that of those polled Democrats are more confident in policymakers than Republicans? Republicans are famous party poopers, always insisting on frugality, transparency, oversight, et cetera. Well, at least, they used to. Now, without any power in Congress, their voice and their votes count for nothing.

The idea of creating a national bank to aggregate bad assets is not only stupid but will create a demand for such assets much as Freddie and Fannie created a demand for risky mortgages and any time you create a demand for something you tend to get more of it. The temporary quick fix attitude is not addressing the irresponsibility of both those in the public and private sector who tossed caution to the wind and did not merely practice normal risk taking but got drunk with stupidity. We need to stop this now. We need to put an end to this ship of fools before they destory this country or remake it into a third world backwater which I believe is the real intention.
Because “politihaulics” can not recover until they “hit bottom” (entirely driven out of government)
We cannot tax our way, or spend our way out of this disgusting mess. It’s time to challenge the powers that be, it’s time for http://primarychallenge.org

Certainly everyone must have known something so obvious!
As the ole saying goes:
You can fool some of the people some of the time, you can fool all of the people some of the time. But you can't fool all of the people all of the time.
A nation of dopes, dupes, and dupas.
Those who voted for change in hopes of utopia will be very disappointed when the Obama/Reid/Pelosi troika make the US into a mirror image of former East Germany.
The thing people have not yet come to terms with is the logical follow on of what to do about this situation.
What we are witnessing is an extreme makeover of our country from a thriving economic engine to a third world socialist state. Did people expect the Democrats to slow this process down?”

It’s a crying shame that the outgoing administration gave the incoming administration a kick start in this direction.

Part of the problem is Bush did what so many do when things appear to be coming apart he started grasping in panic. He should have stuck to his principles. Principles are not there to just be disregard when things get out of control they are there particularly so that when they do we do not.
I think people do know that this is crazy they just don’t have a leader to tell them what to do about it so for now they are going to wait and see till things start to hurt real bad then they will behave like animals.
Some of their bigoted ideas live on even today.
How much has the issuing of credit cards and personal loans added to this fiasco?
By that motto, run some one against them in the Primary where they are vulnerable.
