As is the case with a group think machine that is only interested in discushing shared ideas and beliefs without respect to reason or facts, the people involved with the Free Republic are dictated by their own sets of preowned views and beliefs. Anything that implies the USA to be wrong in its foreign policy is considered unacceptable and the member who made anti American remarks is swiftly banned from the forum.

I am sorry to say this but most of you in the forum are low lifes whose knowledge and world understanding is distorted at best and hence you will not allow brains like myself to be part of your forum.

I would go far enough to even conclude that its you people who are war mongers and very likely most of you revoted Bush into office.

To finalize, I would say this, usually people argue a point more to convince themselves rather than convincing others. In your case the matter is sicker than that; you are a bunch of people who suffer from inferiority complex and have been sidelined by your own societies.

Ask someone with military logistics experience to tell you how long it would take to set up what the Israeli's are currently doing. This is an operation that was planned for months ahead of time. Who knows if they are even telling the truth about being attacked and having soldiers kidnapped. Hitler did the same thing, the warrior Poles crossed the border and attacked Germany, the Germans were just responding to Polish aggression.

Given how unprepared the Arab states are for this current conflict only supports my argument.

As I have previously posted, starting over 2 months ago Israel sharply raised the number of active duty troops in the IDF and the logistics alone required for their current operations would have taken time to prepare. This is the sort of thing that was one of my duties in G-2, preparing estimates on what actions the various forces were capable of. I find it hard to believe that our government was unaware of this buildup, though they are likely surprised at how willing Israel is to take on the Arab world and likely China as well. Israels actions are going to force Bush to decide how far he is willing to go to support Israel, as the possibility of this going nuclear gets higher all the time.
