***scroll for updates: the moonbat 'fesses up, loses her job?***Jeff Goldstein, who has been such an inspiration and good friend ever since I started blogging, is under attack. He--and his toddler son--have been the subject of abuse and harassment from a nutball leftist troll, who appears to hold a prominent teaching position at the University of Arizona and seems to have a history of abusing and stalking blogs. Some of the messages she left for Jeff: "Id like to hear more about your tyke by the way. Girl? Boy? Toddler? Teen? Are you still married to the woman you ephed to give birth to the tyke? Tell all, bro!" *** "[...] as I said elsewhere, if I woke up tomorrow and learned that someone else had shot you and your tyke it wouldnt slow me down one iota. You arent human to me." *** " Ooh. Two year old boy. Sounds hot. You live in Colorado, I see. Hope no one Jon-Benets your baby. Are you still married to the woman you humped to produce the toddler? " *** Give your pathetic progeny (I sure hope that mofo got good genes from his mama!) a big fat tongue-filled kiss from me! LOTS AND LOTS OF SALIVA from Auntie MOONBAT, if you dont mind! Somehow, Jeffy boy, I think you get off on the possibility of Frenching your pathetic progeny, even if it is a boy. You seem like a VERY, VERY sick mofo to me, bro.
Sick. Just sick. After Jeff blew the whistle on the troll's messages, his site crashed as a result of two DDOS attacks. The site remains down as of this morning. Jeff has been the target of unique unhingedness from the Left. His bold eloquence, sharp wit, and willingness to engage the other side have gotten under their skin. Drop him a note of support if you have a spare moment: jeff-at-proteinwisdom.com. Background at Ace of Spades, Euphoric Reality, Small Dead Animals, Instapundit, and Blackfive. More: Confederate Yankee. Stay tuned. *** Update 11:49 Eastern....I'm going to try and confirm this, but here is a post on the blog of University of Arizona professor Deb Frisch (hat tip: Greg at OTB) white flag I wrote some inflammatory comments at a blog by a guy named Jeff Goldstein called protein wisdom that infuriated many bloggers and commenters. Many of these bloggers emailed my boss at the University of Arizona to tell on me. In hindsight, the things I wrote were over the line of nastiness. I apologize to Mr. Goldstein. I have resigned from the University of Arizona so there is no need for other enraged people to write to administrators there.
In true moonbat-style, she goes on to portray herself as the victim.

I have resigned from the University of Arizona ... I would be surprised if this proves to be true.

I agree, we are talking about a liberal here! Ever see one of those with dignity or integrity?

I have resigned from the University of Arizona so there is no need for other enraged people to write to administrators there. If I was Jeff Goldstein, I would prosecute to the fullest extent possible according to law.

It sounded real until this line. If she means any of this (or if this is the real professor) then this line probably is an attempt to stop the flood of calls so she can keep her job.
But this whole event is dripping with here-say, so who knows if this "mea cupla" is legit?

Why does everyone assume the DDOS attack is automatically about politics? The guy's got a long history of being an *sshole to just about
everyone outside his circle of blogging buddies.
DDOSing is illegal, and whoever's doing it ought to be strung up, but come on, let's face it, the list of potential suspects is about 20 times larger than the number of left-wing moonbats in existence.

I have resigned from the University of Arizona ... This "professor" makes Ward Churchill seem like Mother Teresa. She is seriously deranged.

There's more on the post from the source, plus an update. From the source link:
white flag
I wrote some inflammatory comments at a blog by a guy named Jeff Goldstein called protein wisdom that infuriated many bloggers and commenters. Many of these bloggers emailed my boss at the University of Arizona to tell on me.
In hindsight, the things I wrote were over the line of nastiness. I apologize to Mr. Goldstein.
I have resigned from the University of Arizona so there is no need for other enraged people to write to administrators there.
Some blogs have posted comments that I perceive to be physically threatening. I have contacted the FBI and the Pajamas Media staff to determine how to proceed with this aspect of this unbelievable experience.
My intention in this post is to de-escalate the situation. The comments that started this all were nasty, not threatening. But I feel very threatened by the response.
Jeff - I lost my job. You won. Could you call off the troops?
UPDATE: I have been receiving emails alluding to the fact that I got fired. I was not fired. I resigned. I was not pressured to resign. I just sent my boss an email explaining what was happening and told him I thought it was best for all involved if I resigned.
Protein Wisdom has been down since this all started so it is not possible to see all the comments and everything that led up to this. People are posting snippets of what I posted that have been embellished with references to french kissing and other things I didn't say.
When and if protein wisdom comes on line again, it will be hard to tell what Jeff added or deleted to the transcript.
I have been trying to get in touch with Pajamas Media to discuss some of my concerns about what has been published at Black Five about this issue. I feel threatened by some of the comments there.
If someone at pajamas media or better yet, froggy from Black Five, could email me, that would be great.

>>>> "People are posting snippets of what I posted that have been embellished with references to french kissing and other things I didn't say." <<<< I saw that, too, and began to wonder who was telling the truth. The comments were so over the top.
But then I noticed one response to her was:
>>>> "Tough break. It's a hard way to learn that there's a double standard when it comes to death threats. The right can go on national tv and make them (ie. Adams Apple Annie) but the left never can; not even in a moment of anger on some paste eater's blog. You shouldn't have resigned though. The right whingers only foam at the mouth for a short time before becoming distracted by their next 5 minute hate." <<<<
So, even if she said all those things exactly as we're being told she said them, there are people on her side.

Sounded like a threat to me. BTW, this reminds me of that OTHER female professor who left an envelope of dog doo-doo in the mailbox of her congresswoman. Anyone remember that?
