I've just created a blog. There isn't much up except a piece on the November elections and some thoughts on poker, but I'd love to get a few people over there to check it out. The link is http://thecliffsofinsanity.blogspot.com/

Hmmm.....I apologize for the trolling. I meant no offense. I've poked around these message boards on occasion and enjoyed the discussions. I was a little geeked up about blogging and wanted to get a few eyeballs on my site, but didn't realize that my post would be inappropriate.

I took a look at Eric's blog. My 15 year old could do better, and has!

On second thought...I think I'll hold off. Anhilating this boob with a DoS attack tool for HTTP servers won't prove anything. I ran it against one of mine here (the tool is called "siege") and the server is "hating life" right now.
Suffice to say that he should be aware that somebody eventually will do to him what I have chosen to withold....especially if he uses sites like FR for spam!
For anybody else who might want to check this tool out, it's at http://www.joedog.org/siege/. It's described as a "benchmarking" utility, but it's doing a very good job of DoS (Denial of Service) at the moment. It's doing a pretty good job of causing the sending workstation to be VERY busy as well. :-)

Bookmarked "Seige" for later "use" thanks.

Man! Let me tell you! I told the client to open 10 thousand simultaneous connections. My workstation swapped 345MB of memory to disk after only a few minutes, but I didn't find out until just awhile ago that I wrecked the DNS, and SMTP servers running on the same box I attacked here on my LAN. AG!
I think the host here is back to normal, but it was definitely "horked" there for awhile! :-)
