Thanks, Red Hen, for kicking out Sarah Huckabee Sanders
The Boton Globe ^ | June 25, 2018 | Michael A. Cohen

Posted on 06/26/2018 8:59:07 AM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

WHEN STEPHANIE WILKINSON, the owner of the Red Hen restaurant in Lexington, Va., asked White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders to leave that dining establishment last Friday, she opened up yet another front in America’s ongoing cultural war.

Those on the right and some on the left have bemoaned the decline in civility reflected by Wilkinson’s decision. “Let the Trump team eat in peace,” wrote the Washington Post editorial board, which expressed concern that “justifying” such “incivility” will leave only the most “zealous” to pursue a career in public service.

“Kind of amazed and appalled by the number of folks on Left who applauded the expulsion of @PressSec and her family from a restaurant,” tweeted former Obama campaign manager David Axelrod. “This, in the end, is a triumph for @realDonaldTrump[’s] vision of America: Now we’re divided by red plates & blue plates!”

These arguments are understandable. Norm-shredding begets more norm-shredding; incivility begets more incivility, and it is anyone’s guess to where this path will lead us. The problem, however, is that we are already on a dangerous, anti-democratic road.

And Wilkinson — in a singular act of civil, political protest — has offered a useful, alternative path forward.

In an interview with the Washington Post, she said that several of her employees are gay and are bothered by Sanders’ defense of the president’s ban on transgender people serving in the military. Others are troubled by Sanders’ complicity with the White House’s monstrous family separation policy....

I was merely pointing out the hypocrisy. Laws and justice have nothing to do with each other.

Not all homos are rabid. I live next door to a pair that have pro- Trump bumper stickers on their rather cool collection of American cars and bought a very showy flagpole bearing a Trump flag.

No doubt on the effects of immigration over the years. I wonder what the DAR’s take is on the quantity of Revolutionary forebears families remaining in the area. Given the commentary in the Globe, I suspect they keep a low profile and are glad for every day that this crew of SJW and Antifa don’t launch a campaign to erase the evidence of Revolutionary history.

I recall the Boston Globe called violent disruptors of Trumps Chicago rallies “patriots”. What does one expect from those who rationalize political violence?

My ancestors came as part of William Pitt’s fleet to what is now Pennsylvania in 1690. Most people with our surname no longer live there.

“Will be packed. In two months not so much...”

And herein lies the problem.

The media will be camped out this weekend waiting to see if there are protests or how many people are eating there. If the place is full, they’ll collectively say “Look, the owner seems to be suffering no consequences of her actions. All is well”

And then they’ll move on. They’ve framed the story for the public’s mass consumption. But they won’t be there to report on any possible long-term effects of the owner’s decision.

Did I read that DC protects political beliefs or was it satire?

I am sure the Senators who caned each other pre-Civil War I thought the same thing. :-)

This is a guy who’s grandparents likely had a gold yellow star sewn onto their clothes by law, or had a gold yellow star on the window of their store so they could conduct business.

I think this incident helps their business.

Some conservatives will boycott, but liberals will want to go,and the place has fewer than 30 tables.

And from all accounts, leading up until Sanders was denied service, the food is good.

FYI: I do not EVER have ice in my drinks or my children’s drinks when we go out.

I’ve worked in kitchens and seen the insides of too many ice machines to know better than to put that kind of filth in our drinks!

I guess high profile conservatives who eat out should confine themselves to Chick-Fil-A if they want to avoid potentially sabotaged food.

Ah, yes. At the root of this are those practicing homosexuality. Their hatred and bitterness is off the charts.

Is it sodomy that has divided the left from the right? Someone suggested that it is abortion a few weeks ago.

Personally I think it is the Word of God that divides us. Every single solitary Democrat platform plank is on the wrong side of the bible.

Norm-shredding begets more norm-shredding; incivility begets more incivility, and it is anyone’s guess to where this path will lead us.

It leads, as always with leftists, to leftists trying to kill everybody else.

And this being America, and not Europe ... that will not turn out well for the leftists.

So, their baseline will either be fewer people being turned away, or empty tables.

Can you imagine the disgusting things they’d have done to their food if they’d allowed them to stay?

YES. And it's not just wild imagination.

Leftists plan to impoverish us, imprison us, and kill us. They have been stacking up bodies all over the world, since 1789, to show they're serious about it.

Plan accordingly.

Who the EFF would knowingly eat in a restaurant staffed by demented fag perverts putting their "secret sauce" on all the food they serve to obviously reviled heterosexual monsters?

Disgusting filchers can have the place, normal people need not buy their defiled garbage.
