Aren't Rush's legal problems from STATE prosecutors? Or, are you saying Rush is indirectly trying to gain favor of Jeb Bush somehow?
And if an Arab company would be willing to do this at a loss, might that not be a little suspicious?
"A British company OWNs our ports now, but WE run them."
Don't you mean A British company RUNS our ports, but we OWN them? (I hope).
"I find some of the rhetoric being used against this deal shameful and irresponsible. There is bigotry coming out here" James Zogby"
Stick a turban in it. I didn't see the Amish taking flight lessons in Norman, OK.
Can you answer the first question I asked you now: Are you serious?
You know, I was really REALLY angry with the President today. REady to JUMP SHIP!!! But Larry Elders, ( of ALL PEOPLE, I usually don't listen to him), said take a deep breath and don't come down on this issue until we looked at the facts. After listening to him for a hour, I began to see his point. I am going to reserve my opinions on this issue until I know more.
Arabs are only doing the jobs that Americans are unwilling to take.
I've got it.
Dubai was our friend, before it was against us.
Or something like that.
You miss the point......
I agree with Bush on this one.....
Step up and EXPLAIN why a Company from a friendly Arab nation should be held to different standards than a British, or Dutch, or Chines, Or Malay, Or Greek, Or Norwegian, Or Kuwaiti, Or Saudi, Or Brazillian or any other nation operating our ports today......
And what of the port operations that WE run overseas? Should we now give those up, as well??
And the hits just keep on coming.
Don't get me started on Nixon and Communist Red China.
Sure took WIRETAPPING off the front page.... LOL
This may qualify as the single most ignorant statement on any of the threads related to this story.
BushBots...
Lets hear you explain this away..
____Simple, the UAE is not our enemy. We are not at war with all Arabs or all Islam, and Bush is always careful to make that case.

It's no different than owning a popular night club and not being able to get top dollar for it since many of the potential buyers aren't able to secure liquor licenses. That is just the way the business world works.
But YOU said we were at war with the UAE, now you say we are at war with no one!
Excellent. Then let's let Hamas run the port since the port management firm can't hurt us.
