Why should I pass up a free bar? Stay sober, you jest! I get to meet a new addition to the family today...an "accident" that was created by one of my young relatives 18 mos ago.They didn't tell anyone until recently ;-)
My B-I-L also arrives today from Buenos Aires, for good.It's going to be a happening.I just hope he doesn't get on my nerves too much ;-)

The rotisserie was turning slowly as the suspected bugophile sweated in fear. The basting sauce was poured over him slowly, the flames set just so.
"Lefff ee gooo!" he garbled from behind the apple in his mouth.
"Let you go? Now why would I want to do that?"
"Peees. ooou haaf ooo lefff eee goooo." beads of sweat welled up on his forehead. A line of sauce oozed towards his eye.
"I don't want to. You should have thought of such consequences as this before you molested my marigolds."
"uutt?" his eyes bulged out.
"Yes, I saw you over there doing what you were doing to the plastic rabbits in the garden, and the flamingoes."
"Noooooooo. It aaasn't eeeee!" the rotisserie turned faster.
"I'll cook your goose, and then some! You'll never goof with anyone's garden again!" a maniacal laugh...

Another family get-together this evening - the holidays are too tiring sometimes. That said, I guess it's better than the alternative.

Hi Anne...tell that snappy Lulu thanks for the Christmas card.....this certainly has been a busy season for me, with all my decorating....all rooms must have a tree, even if only a small one, and then I put Santas, and Snowmen and such all around the house.....the house is ablaze with Christmas lights, and many, many trees twinkling....its a lot of work for sure, but I do enjoy it when its all done....it looks pretty....
Right now, I am just finishing up with finishing touches.....tomorrow we will be going out to do shopping for Christmas Eve, and Christmas day, foodstuffs for the two days....and of course, lots of beer for BigDom and Andy.....then on Monday, whirlwind cleaning.....Tuesday I will start cooking all the foods for Christmas Eve dinner, and for Christmas Eve snacking later on in the evening.....Then when all thats done with, I will have a little free time to watch the local Midnight Mass, and I always watch the Midnight Mass from Rome, with the Pope, even tho I am not catholic...but I enjoy the service, and love to see the Cathedral all decked out for Christmas....
Then by 5am, on Christmas morning, I need to start making my stuffing and getting the turkey ready for roasting....I have a giant bird, 20lbs, along with a ham and a Prime Rib Roast....my men are big, big eaters, and enjoy having a variety of meats and all the fixings to go with it.....
Perhaps the day after Christmas I might find time to get a little rest, as I am certainly not getting it now....
You said that since you are Jewish and Bill is Catholic, you celebrate both Christmas and Hannakuh....do you have a tree, along with a menorah, or do you just not decorate......
Dizzy loves Christmas trees...he enjoys sitting under them.....the tree in the family room, has two ornaments, which are Himalayan kitty cats, tho not the color or Dizzy...he is grey and silver, while the ornaments are brown...but he figures, they are the right breed, so he enjoys seing them.....
I sure hope your Christmas box arrives before Christmas...the parcel post guy said that your gift was going guaranteed 2 day delivery, and I mailed it on Thursday morning, so that makes Friday, and then Monday, since Parcel Post does not deliver on the weekends.....let me know if it gets there on time for Santa time....
Well, I should go ......more decorating is needed....cannot have too many decorations.....
Hugs and Kisses to you, Bill, Happy and the Christmasy Lulu....tell her something good is coming her way.....but she must not be greedy, and steal Happys gift....Santa loves all doggies, not just the basset hounds...
