Gran your photos are gorgeous. How do you make all of them remind me of an age long gone.

Totally Twisted Proverbs

A 4th grade teacher collected well known proverbs. She gave each child in the class the first half of the proverb, and asked them to come up with the rest. Here is what they came up with:

Better to be safe than punch a 5th grader

Strike while the bug is close.

It's always darkest before daylight savings time

Never underestimate the power of termites.

You can lead a horse to water but how?

Don't bite the hand that looks dirty.

No news is impossible.

A miss is as good as a Mr.

You can't teach an old dog math.

If you lie down with dogs, you will stink in the morning.

Love all, trust me.

The pen is mightier than the pigs

An idle mind is the best way to relax.

Where there is smoke, there's pollution.

Happy is the bride who gets all the presents.

A penny saved is not much.

Two is company, three's The Musketeers.

None are so blind as Helen Keller.

Children should be seen and not spanked or grounded.

If at first you don't succeed get new batteries.

You get out of something what you see pictured on the box.

When the blind lead the blind get out of the way.

Laugh and the whole world laughs with you, cry and you have to blow your nose.

Good morning all...just a quickie posting until later on, this afternoon...have to get going to the store(Yuck)...

Grannie, your home looks wonderful, inside and out...you are a great homemaker...

Now Palo, you have become quite the star...this is not the first time your name has been mentioned, first I think it was in Salon, and now this new site, speaking of you...you are now gaining a following, and you could become a legend on the internet...our little Palo, a big star...

Lulu had herself some walkie this morning...Police looking for a 'gun' and then Lulu inviting herself into the squad car, to sit in a PoliceLadys lap...that Lulu, shes quite the gal...

dsl, so far, is a little slower than was cable. sbc supposedly is doing some upgrading, so hopefully, it will get better.

also, for some reason we were unable to send our change of address to our whole address book. that was a pain in the butt having to divide it up and send.

I think they may be indiginous to the north, yes. They are very rare around here.. You see one every now and then. I rooted a twig for Dyan.. They grow pretty slow.. This one is getting very old now, and am trying to root a piece..

Chris this is one where you can find some old posts
on Lucianne with palo. This site seems to have been
written sometime ago and is referring to the first thread on FR.

Yes, she's doing well. She's getting more confident every day, and is soooo playful.

I switched from dial-up to dsl several months ago. I understand that it isn't as fast as cable, but in general I like it. downloads are fast enough for me, and we can use the telephone while I'm online. My on-line time with the dialup was causing, shall we say, domestic unrest?

I have thoroughly enjoyed reading the thread you linked and the antiwar forum but I was left with quite a few popup ads. That doesn't bother me at all because they're so easy to delete. But when I went into one (I forget which), a young woman said "I can heeaaaaarrr you!" and it sounded like a friend of mine. Spooky! Did anyone else experience that? Just now, I noticed one of the popups is for a device where you can listen to/spy on friends' conversations so I guess it was a marketing gimmick of theirs.
