The difficulty at the moment is buying shoes which will be comfortable due to the odd conformity of her feet.

is is that her feet don't match

You are bringing back horrible memories.. I went thru the same thing.. My Dad used to take me to the shoe store and I came home crying all the time. Swearing I would never wear those shoes..

My Mother would tell me to just put them in the closet with the rest of the ugly ones.. he'd never notice.. Sometimes he did.. lol.. and I'd get hell... So I'd have to wear them one more time until he forgot to notice again..

Hated those shoes.. Then by the time I got old enough to wear my first pair of high heels, I couldn't find any my size.. So I cried again.. They never had size threes..

Checking in to let you know that I am still alive. :)

I had to wear uniforms in Catholic high school. Navy blue awful things with scoop necks and sleeveless. They also made us wear regulation white blouses underneath with Peter Pan collars. Very dorky indeed.

Didn't take long to figure out that replacing the regulation cloth belt with a regular one gave the ability to hike up one's skirt to a more fashionable length. :)

I'm relying on Habs memory here

Gran did I not tell you, confidentially of course, that you must not trust Hab's memory since he had his lobotomy as a condition for his release The phantom trip to Paris is just another instance of his affliction. Now our palo has picked it up and who knows where it will end. Remember little one you are not to be rewarded for your transgressions.

it brought back horrible memories for me too lol
with me it was reverse
I cried when she made me wear the brown lace-up oxfords
one time by a miracle they didn't fit
so my dad took me to Macys to return them
when we arrived at the shoe department the lady informed us they are boys shoes
(she had bought me brown oxfords with scuffs on them)

I hit the ceiling
''she wants me to wear boys shoes'' I screamed
my dad said ''we'll try to find you a more attractive pair
and you can have whatever you want as party shoes''
so I chose velvet pumps for my partyshoes
and forgot to be furious I had to wear uglyoxfords to school

rofl I remember the outfit the girls had to wear in catholic school
it had no relation at all to what the styles were
we were wearing pleated skirts and boatneck sweaters
girls in catholic school were in those navy blue jumpers
navy blue was not even an in color then

rofl the girls in catholic school found way to overcompensate tho
I don't know how they did it
they always looked like total tramps
they were sexy and they were hot

Oh, and in order to appear "cool" with the the baglike uniform described above, one HAD to wear Bass Weejuns. Or Hush Puppies. Gack.

Needless to say, I had a hard time conforming to the fashion rules (and many other rules) associated with my high school. ;)

rofl I didn't have any parties
they stayed in my closet
but I admired them in my closet
saddest day of my life was when I outgrew them

I was kid and believed I'd only outgrow ugly shoes
but beautiful shoes last forever

I had to take them to the incinerator room cause they were too small

You have no idea how hard we had to work to achieve that look, with what little we had to work with. ROTFL

your uniform was awful
we wore tight sweaters and tight skirts
with little neckerchief tied at side for kick

chickie you remember that?

we wore our tight cardigan sweaters buttoned down the back
(lol chickie why was that, to look more busty?)

I'm trying to remember when the promised trip to Paris first entered the conversation
was it before or after you suggested orthopedic shoes for her mismatched feet

Now, I have no choice but to cancel my order of chocolate fudge cookies...the ones that have been sitting in a warehouse for 3 yrs, stale and dry...you won't make your quota this year ;-)

I have to do some work, so I'll come back and play with you flakes later.Hopefully, all the bad memories of ugly shoes and unfashionable school uniforms will have washed away ;-)Ciao folks!!

You are killing me. Us "catlic" goils used to iron our hair, or roll it up into a big ponytail on top of our heads, then roll that onto a 3 pound coffee can, like it was one huge curler to achieve that desired *look*.

We couldn't do up the makeup until we were off the school grounds, the nuns would make us wash it off if they caught us tarted up like hussies.

Afternoon guys - Captain thanks a bunch
for the free clock syncer! It's great.

Still no Billy sighting, but things are
accelerating with more agencies on the
case, and more folks searching.

Pray for speedy resolution of this nightmare.
Thanks, JL
