You are bringing back horrible memories.. I went thru the same thing.. My Dad used to take me to the shoe store and I came home crying all the time. Swearing I would never wear those shoes..

My Mother would tell me to just put them in the closet with the rest of the ugly ones.. he'd never notice.. Sometimes he did.. lol.. and I'd get hell... So I'd have to wear them one more time until he forgot to notice again..

Hated those shoes.. Then by the time I got old enough to wear my first pair of high heels, I couldn't find any my size.. So I cried again.. They never had size threes..

it brought back horrible memories for me too lol
with me it was reverse
I cried when she made me wear the brown lace-up oxfords
one time by a miracle they didn't fit
so my dad took me to Macys to return them
when we arrived at the shoe department the lady informed us they are boys shoes
(she had bought me brown oxfords with scuffs on them)

I hit the ceiling
''she wants me to wear boys shoes'' I screamed
my dad said ''we'll try to find you a more attractive pair
and you can have whatever you want as party shoes''
so I chose velvet pumps for my partyshoes
and forgot to be furious I had to wear uglyoxfords to school
