I just love Italian food also...spaghetti, lasagne, pizza, minestrone soup, cannolis, ....its all so yummy

After my son spent months trekking in Nepal and Tibet, and having some really awful and dodgy food, the first European country he got to was Sicily...he said, the food was just wonderful, out of this world...he said he lost 10kilos in Nepal and Tibet, due to the bad food, and mountain trekking, but he believed he gained it all back in his first 24hrs in Sicily...he love everything, but fell in love with Gelato(Ice cream)...said it was the food of the gods...

Nope, it's a Cardon, similiar, but different. Only grow in Baja.. Baja has thousands of plants that only grow there.....

defrosting frig is worst!!!
me too, I have had past 8 years with self defrosting frig, what a luxury!
somehow the automatic ice cube maker toppled cubes over to tray beneath
and ice castle started to grow
I was nervous it would impede functioning
but it was locked in there
by a miracle this morning I unbudged it

I didn't know that
are you on Sonoran desert (same desert as us)
do you have saguarjos (sp?) there?
what special place Baja is to have so many plants which grow nowhere else

Palo is growing ice castles, in the midst of the Arizona heat...thats funny...but so glad that it finally budged, and the fridge and freezer are in proper working order again...

how sensible to wind up in Sicily after all that trekking round and not having enuf delcious food to eat :)
are gelati italian ices?
they used to sell them in my old neighborhood in the italian pastry shops
I remember real lemon in the lemon ones
they were good

Part of Baja is in the Sonoran desert, but it has been split off from the mainland for so long it has developed it's own plants and animals...There are black rabbits and rattlesnakes with no rattles...It is a special place...

fofl westy
you are a riot
lol we'd all be grateful if defrosting a frig is worst thing which ever happened in our life
andysmom is right, it's the worst of the household chores
really westy break down and buy yourself self-defrosting frig
it is worth it to never have to defrost again
maybe it is $600
have them install it, and take away your old one
and install automatic icemaker too
it's fun havin' automatic icemaker
icemaker hardly costs anything more (like $40)

Sweetie, if I get so damn feeble I can't defrost a fridge, it's time to pull the trigger on the old 12 guage....This country has got so soft they can't hardly put on their socks, let alone pull them up and get on with it.....
