I agree totally about not trusting, or even liking, those who don't like animals. That's just not right. Why don't you get a little basset puppy? It would not be big enough to scare the Dizzster, and prolly would bring happiness to him/her to have another floor dweller in the house.

I believe that animals should have animal buddies to be with, and over the years, believe me, I've seen some uncommon bonding. It would do you and the DH some good also. Trust Dr. Jim on this one. ;-)

Don't you love those Pelicans Westy? They are so funny to watch when they are fishing.. I can't believe they don't break their necks.. They will dive from such great distances and into inches of sand and water beak first.. They make me laugh and laugh...

You didn't answer me.. Did you get a new scanner? Your pics are great.. Keep them coming.. I'm having a hard time setting mine up again.. Will have to call Epson..

Yep, I got a el cheapo scanner. Don't know what I'm doing most of the time...That's nothing new though...Pelicans are great birds...If you are on the beach they provide endless entertainment....I even like the mean old Frigate birds....

I love the Frigate birds.. They are seen in Fl. once in awhile, but they seem to be much more prevelent in Mexico.. I was very surprised to see three of them over the house in Fl before we left..

Why are the Frigate birds mean? I've never ever seen one on the ground or water.. Always in the air..coasting on the currents..

It is still raining. Thunder and lightning.. The sky is red in the west, and putting a golden glow on everything.. Very strange but beautiful.. If it had been a little earlier we would have had a fantastic rainbow, but I think it's too late now..

Why are the Frigate birds mean?

Born that way I reckon. No seriously, they earn their living by harrassing other birds into giving up their catch. Don't do any fishing on their own. They sure know how to work the thermals though. Can go for miles and miles and never flap a wing...Still like em even though they are pirates...lol..

Hot! Hot! Hot! And of course we had to copy you - there's a big fire burning up in the mountains at a resort area and the smoke is heavy over us. When I stepped out, it was so dark and gloomy, I thought we were about to be rained on. It's a shame to see the blue sky ruined by wild fires, isn't it? Our fire is not contained AT ALL - has yours improved over the 55% you mentioned earlier?
