I could never be organized like your friend, Palo...I agree with you, it sounds like making work...I have enough to do, without having to make up other work...

Palo, I had to laugh when you were describing your early morning walk with Lulu, and how Lulu did not really want to walk, but prefered to lay down and observe her street...I remember reading once, this little story that a man told about his basset...

He said, that every day, when he took his basset for a walk, about 1/2 through the walk, his dog got tired, and lay down on the sidewalk, refused to move, and went to sleep for about 15 minutes, before he woke up again, and finished off his walk....

Now the neighbors all got a kick out of this scene, being played out every day...the man did not have the heart to wake his basset up, so he just let him sleep until he woke up...the neighbors would come out and chat with the man, while he was waiting on his dog...eventually the dog woke up, everyone pet him, and he and his man continued on their way

Personally, I think that basset was very clever...he got his walk, got a nap, got extra attention from the neighbors, and was actually the hit of the neighborhood...pretty smart dog...

Oh, that man never misses out on his fun.. Never!! The reason it was 6 wimmin at first, was because I forgot the three young Chicksa's (how do you spell that in Jewish?) that crashed our party close to the end.. Those wimmin had already eaten, and I had to eat while they were glomming my hubster.. The indignity of it all.. ;) The big ice cream cake was good tho..

glad you enjoyed the icecream cake

There was a 'Seinfeld' episode dealing with shiksa(There seems to be a 'Seinfeld' episode for just about every situation)...

Elaine was invited to bar-mitzvah of the son of her boss, and the kid grabbed Elaine and planted a big kiss on her, because now he was a 'man'...

The boss was upset, so Elaine had to try to explain to the kid, that he was only a 'man' in the church, and he had to grow some and become more like his dad to be a man in the real world...then the dad tried to kiss Elaine...

Then Jerry, who is Jewish proposed marriage to Elaine...

So, Elaine, went to the local Rabbi, to get the lowdown on what it meant to be a 'shiksa'...the rabbi told her it was a myth, tho he never did explain was being a 'shiksa' was...then the rabbi tried to get Elaine to go on a little weekend fling with him, at which point Elaine fled the Rabbis house...

Now Elaine was not Jewish, so maybe a gentile is a 'shiksa'...

Drinking wine, does indeed, make things go easier...or if they dont, you no longer care...

I remember driving through the Napa Valley in California, and we came upon the 'wine train' moving down the tracks, taking the folks to the different wineries for wine tasting...

We just sat and watched as that train went by, and all those on board, were waving and laughing and having a good time...That wine is yummy, and adds to the fun...
