There are six main types of banjos, categorized primarily by their number of strings and construction: 5-string (Bluegrass/Old-Time), 4-string (Tenor/Plectrum), 6-string (Banjitar), banjo ukuleles, mandolin banjos, and electric banjos. Maybe he couldn’t figure out what kind of banjo to play.

I have a buddy who lost the front of his foot because he was bored and playing around on trains that went by. Suddenly, the front of his foot was missing. It ain’t entirely safe to be screwing around with these things. They can kill you even in slow motion.
