Some critiques are too easy, and that is often the case with AOC.
It tells you something awful about our elite universities that she graduated from Boston University with two degrees: one in international relations and the other in economics.
She knows nothing about either.
Being a politician whose main appeal, aside from her appealing looks, is an ability to perform to a crowd of leftists, AOC obviously couldn't pass up an invitation to speak at a Muslim Eid celebration along with Mayor Zohran Mamdani.
While I don't, in principle, object to politicians respectfully adopting traditions for the sake of their audience, there is something especially bizarre about AOC, a truly radical feminist, wearing a hijab to speak in front of a crowd that appears to be exclusively male, and largely uninterested in what she has to say.
She has unconsciously adopted the traditions of a culture that respects women even less than the one portrayed in The Handmaid's Tale—you know, that horror that Donald Trump is supposedly bringing about in the United States with the help of the docile women who surround him and the openly gay men in prominent administration positions.
All the men around her, with the exception of Mamdani himself, are dressed like the Afghan Taliban, so obviously rejecting the Western society that has welcomed them. AOC spends an inordinate amount of time condemning people who have no intention of oppressing women, but when given the chance, she embraces a crowd that is filled with people who do.
An all-male crowd, from the look of it, except for a woman who likely is either the mayor's or AOC's staffer.
One of the more bizarre things about leftists is their inverse bigotry regarding brown and black people. They so obviously expect them to behave like savages that they excuse behavior that they would never tolerate in white people. They spout out excuses, trot out claims of oppression, and claim that any bad behavior is caused by white oppression.
It's absurd. It's the same thinking that leads liberals to lower academic standards for non-whites, or for all students, to level the playing field. The assumption is that non-whites or non-Asians are naturally inferior, not that their culture is equivalent to ours.
Everybody should be held to the same high standards, and at least the majority of all groups certainly have the capacity to meet them. But only if they are held accountable. That's why Catholic schools with majority minority student bodies perform far better than public schools.
By agreeing to speak to a crowd that treats her as an inferior, and praising them as model citizens, AOC is endorsing in Muslims behavior that she decries in Westerners. This isn't respecting cultures—after all, white racists who treat women badly could make the same argument that it is their culture, and nobody finds that argument compelling.
It's setting low standards for non-whites. If that really is their culture, then it sucks, and we should say so. Because that is our culture.
This reminds me of the entirely appropriate response of General Sir Charles Napier to the tradition of burning a widow in India:
“Be it so. This burning of widows is your custom; prepare the funeral pile. But my nation has also a custom. When men burn women alive we hang them, and confiscate all their property. My carpenters shall therefore erect gibbets on which to hang all concerned when the widow is consumed. Let us all act according to national customs."
If something is immoral, it is immoral.

Again,”whether you agree or not”
“AOC likely got one of their DEI allocation of degrees.”
Whatever happened there, she has a quarter to a half $mil economics degree from there and is absolutely ignorant on basic economics.
“She is dressed exactly like “The Handmaid Tale”
Yep. And that will go past the feminized media like a drone over Tehran
She’s wearing the adulteress handmaiden outfit.
I’ve worked with “STEM” people from both “top” universities and lower-tier universities. FWIW, here’s my observation.
In any technical field, whether it’s engineering, or science, or software, there’s “the thing,” which is whatever the invention, or idea, or technology, or product might be, and there’s “scaling the thing.”
You can’t “scale the thing” without “the thing,” and you can’t make money with “the thing” without “scaling the thing.”
The skills and mindset and attitude of scaling the thing are completely different from the skills, mindset, and attitude necessary to create the thing, whatever it is.
The middlebrow universities are more likely to produce the people who think up the thing, and the top schools are more likely to produce the people who scale up the thing.
There are numerous examples of this in the real world, the most obvious one that comes to mind is Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg. He didn’t think of “facebook,” it already existed, although I believe it was called “the pigbook.” He just took the idea and scaled it up using software, computer, and networking technology.
But there are numerous other examples.
Steve Jobs was a rare example of a “scaler” who was able to do it with just a tangential involvement with a university, and it was a non-elite university to boot.
That’s in the world of today. In the past, a lot of important things came out of elite universities; I’m thinking of the laser and nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy, both invented by people at Columbia University.
Radar was invented by someone from a middlebrow school, as was cavity magnetron, which made it into a universal tool of the modern world.
I’m reminded of the saying, “Who do you serve?”
NEW YORK CITY - AFTER YEARS OF "PROGRESSIVE" POLITICIANS

I’m reminded of the saying, “Who do you serve?”
Bow down before the one you serve
You’re gonna get what you deserve
It’s difficult to face the reality of our situation: We have been conquered. Islam was given a foothold, and now will be a problem for us until the end of our nation.
actually they were calling dibs on who would have her first
Get used to seeing pictures like this. There is a New Axis of Evil Democrats communists and Muslims. They have joined together to conduct a war on America.
Each contributes in its own way, but their goal is the same: Destroy America.
More like one has been subjugated by the other. Notice, one always panders to the other, but not the other way around.
Ever see a Muslim sporting a haircut, and wearing a business suit?
You always see democrats bowing, covering their hair, and the rest.
Butts in the air butt-heads
Yes, Boston University (BU) is considered an elite university—third tier behind Ivy Leagues/MIT and Stanford/Michigan.
Moreover:
AI Overview
Boston University’s Economics program is widely regarded as an elite, top-tier department, consistently ranking in the top 25–35 nationwide and in the top 50 globally. It is particularly recognized for its strong research output, frequently placing in the top 15 in global economic publication rankings (such as RePEc).BU’s Department of Economics excels in several key areas:
Elite Faculty: The department includes heavily cited scholars producing high-impact research.Research Centers: It is tightly integrated with the Institute for Economic Development (IED) and the Economics in Context Initiative (ECI), offering deep-dive focus areas.
Program Rankings: The graduate and master’s programs are exceptionally competitive, frequently placing among the top 10 nationwide in metrics like TFE Times.......
However, AOC was not in the most highly-regarded graduate/Master’s program. And her political ideology seems designed to negate most of what she may have learned in her economics classes.
It’s just plain stupid for a Western woman who is not visiting the islamic word to wear hijab! The muslim men did right to ignore her! American voters must also ignore her if she runs for President!
“ However, AOC was not in the most highly-regarded…”
She has a degree from the school. In economics
I am not going to excuse her nor BU
Go ahead and do so like every other liberal woman
Not I
“...Boston University with two degrees: one in international relations and the other in economics...”
Now, given how completely vapid she dumb b***d is, what does this say about Boston (pretend) University?
AOC looks like one of the faux little red riding hoods aka “Handmaid’s Tale” protestors.
I see she wore an Elizabethan dog collars that Handmaiden tails wear to keep from licking themselves.

I can't believe her "people" let her wear that to a group who are the very embodiment of that book's villains.
